Leonardo Ulloa (Brighton) - Bid accepted

Get fed up reading the hate towards him. He is class. Playing the lone striker role for 2 seasons in a team that play tippy tappy shite football and 90% of the possesion is played in our own half is good. If he was in your team this season gone and the way you play he'd have got 30 goals. He was out for 3 months with a broken foot as well and took a while to get to match fitness.

£6.5m won't get him, He's fully awhere of clubs interest but has stated that he's happy in Brighton and his wife loves it it here as the laines remind her of Spain and has lovely Spanish restraunts who are spanish.

Think it's time you matched our valuation or look elsewhere because we don't need to sell.

Tin Pot? Okay.

Spanish restaurants that are Spanish??

Groundbreaking stuff!

I can't think of a single thing that is "tinpot" about Brighton.

teapot yes, tinpot no

Man city were tin pot, so were Blackburn. Chelsea used to be a cup side at best. Brighton have cash and we have more cash thanks to promotion.

If Ulloa likes it there (and let's be fair it is a nicer place to live than the shire) then we either pay what Brighton want or look elsewhere

Must admit, i agree - they seem to have their head screwed on when it comes to growing the club.

The beach.

It's not even sandy.

Twats.

 Valid point.

Brighton are tinpot, only have started getting decent gates due to building the Amex. They've got too big for their boots.

errr... you do realize you just contradicted yourself don't you?

I'm not going to comment on the price/value etc but how much does thus guy really want to come and play for us? There don't appear to be any rumours of him wanting to leave Brighton. He doesn't appear to have gone and asked for a transfer.

If we matched the asking price and he did eventually sign I would be slightly concerned that he really wanted to be here. I'd feel a lot better about this if  that he'd actaully asked Brighton for permission to speak to us but that doesn't appear to be the case.

If he's happy to stay at Brighton, he's not going to come out and say anything to the contrary in case he doesn't leave, as that could put a strain on any relationship he has with the club unnecessarily.

Once a bid has been accepted he may consider a move and be keen on signing, but at the minute Brighton are yet to accept anything we've offered so he has no reason to show interest in anywhere else.

I must admit I don't understand this hate towards Brighton. They're a well run club with ambitious owners who have put them in a good position to challenge for promotion, as well as being well supported. They have a good player in ulloa who they don't want or need to sell, and we're trying to persuade them to. Nothing tin pot about that.

they had good gates at the Goldstone Ground before the 'term' at the Withdean. I'm not 100% sure but the Amex crowds are probably just back in line with pre Withdean days. So not really tinpot and just want to keep hold of a player who looked decent when I've seen him

Nice club seemingly well run. Always made to feel welcome..unlike one or two others. My only grip is the chicken and chorizo pies..what's bloody wrong with steak & kidney!!

Well let's see if 6.5m gets turned down first. They'd be pretty stupid not to take it.

We'd be fvcking stupid to offer it

To be fair the only places worth living in the UK half decent are Brighton and London. But when it comes to football and money, for an extra few million in the pocket over a couple of years, it's worth sticking it out in the Leicestershire countryside. Ulloa may not have many more opportunities to get a deal as lucrative playing in the Premier league. No player will turn down an opportunity like that at his age for the sake of pebble beach and few mock shitty Spanish restaurants.
