lgfualol Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 said earlier they are meeting next week to discus terms. So probably in a month when lcfc announce it
johnny the fox Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 WBA have just splashed 10 million for a nigeriian forward I know nowt about..
Out Foxed Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 said earlier they are meeting next week to discus terms. so we've got a shot to put it another way. this whole saga is more like a marathon than a sprint.
Perseus Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 said earlier they are meeting next week to discus terms. Monday. 2% chance it could still go wrong. I hope it doesn't. It might be a 5% chance.
Robin JD Popley Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Don't know if it has been said elsewhere, but O'Grady to Brighton is now confirmed.
Perseus Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Don't know if it has been said elsewhere, but O'Grady to Brighton is now confirmed. It was the transfer fee that smoothed the way. Chris O'Grady transfer thought to be a straight swop for Ashley Barnes.
westernpark Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Don't know if it has been said elsewhere, but O'Grady to Brighton is now confirmed. Good to see an academy product doing well in his career. Could be premier league within the next few seasons.
VLC86 Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Good to see an academy product doing well in his career. Could be premier league within the next few seasons. Hahahahahahahahaha, Good joke Chris.
dpjfox Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 the length ot time this has dragged on i would have thought terms would have ben discusses/agreed, uless were playing by the book and fee has to be agreed first
PAULCFC Posted 18 July 2014 Posted 18 July 2014 Sooo probably our record transfer.....Then Chris o Grady pops up.....Comedy Gold for me.Anyway good luck Leo.
Aroberts123 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Had a quick look on the brighton fans forum, the general consensus seems to be that 7-7.5million is a great bit of business for them and that he is a good championship striker but may not make the cut in the prem. Nigel hasnt let us down yet! The fact that we have made numerous bids for him shows how keen nigel must be on him. Im optimistic.
VLC86 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Have we paid over the odds? Yes Is it a gamble? Not as much as bringing in someone new to the country. Iv said it a few times in here but when Brighton first signed him he hit the ground running and it was only a matter of time before someone from the prem took a punt.
Crinklyfox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 I live just north of Brighton and work is full of Brighton supporters. They are convinced he's gone for 7 mil, one lad said Ulloa had already said goodbye to the Brighton fans. Pretty much to a man they didn't want to see him go and are worried about next season now.
seagull43 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Now being reported in our paper (The Argus) that the fee is confirmed at £8m....rising to £10m+ depending on performance. http://theargus.co.uk/sport/11352431.Ulloa_fee_could_hit_eight_figures/?action=success#comments Wow, that's a big punt! Hope he does well for you guys....good luck this season.
Brighton Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 £8m cash up front then £10m with add ons Thanks. I knew we'd get what we wanted.
AKCJ Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 "The Argus" or every other news source. Now who do I believe...
Collymore Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 This is funny from the brighton forum. " Good riddance I say, he's already taking up a place in a crowded squad, it's good to thin the ranks a bit and with the top quality signings like COG coming in I for one am delighted." I mean COG has improved since he left us im sure but the comment above is just hilarious!

Micky Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Quality signing and will bring the best out of our team. He will surprise a lot, including the Brighton fans.
AKCJ Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Just popped over to the Brighton forum, poor souls... They genuinely think we've paid 10m lol
Callabinho Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Brighton know he's quality, it's the usual good riddance chat, every time a key player leaves. If Nugent left we would all highlight his downsides apposed to praising him. Ulloa is a brilliant finisher and will do well for us.
