Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Just popped over to the Brighton forum, poor souls... They genuinely think we've paid 10m lol Poor attempt at a last parting shotThought they were better than that
80footgiraffe Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 £8m cash up front then £10m with add ons Thanks. I knew we'd get what we wanted. Its okay, we all put in £50 each to make it happen £8m cash up front then £10m with add ons Thanks. I knew we'd get what we wanted. Its okay, we all put in £50 each to make it happen
Robin JD Popley Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Ah, the - 'we don't need him anymore' tact...
deep blue Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Scored more than Ulloa last season... I don't like the way O'Grady is being mocked here. He was cast off by us, judged not good enough to be a Champ level striker, but has fought to resurrect his career and ultimately prove us wrong. He deserves the utmost respect from us. But back to Ulloa - I am optimistic too that he will prove a class above and will give us those striking attributes that we lack at the moment. I am also excited by the way Super Kev talks, confident that he will add an extra edge to all of our strikers.
Fox92 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 WBA have just splashed 10 million for a nigeriian forward I know nowt about.. I noticed this. But because he's not from the Championship then nobody looks into it...

Now take a seat, what Im about to tell you may be upsetting....You need to let Chris go mate.

I would have liked to have signed him if we didn't go up to be fair, no one holds the ball up better at that level IMO.
Jon the Hat Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 £8m cash up front then £10m with add ons Thanks. I knew we'd get what we wanted. And if you get the add ons he will have proven he is worth more than £10m
Simmo86 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 No way we've gone from offering 6 million to 8 million. 7 sounds about right.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 We shipped COG out to pay a months wages and stop us going under. Still think it's very harsh to criticise the lad, he's crafted a good career for himself!

Brighton Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 And if you get the add ons he will have proven he is worth more than £10m Yes he will. We'll all be cheering when he scores for you and helps keeps you up as we want that other £2m. Ulloa will be be just fine playing for you and can see him getting at least 15 goals for you. Just don't let him take penalties.

Still think it's very harsh to criticise the lad, he's crafted a good career for himself! Wasn't aware of that, Rob. Puts a different complexion on the club's "judgement". The lad's still done well, all the same.
Spudulike Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 A quote from a Brighton fan... "Had Leo played for Leicester last season he would have 30 plus in my opinion, would he now be on his way to a top ten club for 15-20 million?"
justfoxes Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Looking forward to see who's next on Nigel's radar !!
Perseus Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 After the Mackail-Smith farce There is still a possibility it will go wrong! I hope not. I would expect Ulloa to fit in straightaway and get 15 goals in his first season. Should be good for a hatrick on 27 September!

Not the best player in the world but one that has made himself into a decent Championship level player. That said not a player I would want back at City. Good luck to him.

sylofox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 At what point will NP realise he is not an ex man u player and pull out of the deal? lol
Finnaldo Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 At what point will NP realise he is not an ex man u player and pull out of the deal? lol I can just imagine him going down his checklist and crying quietly. Man U.... no. Ligue 2.... no. Part Algerian....
Finnegan Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Gutted , but best of luck to him and you. Honest opinion of his strengths and weaknesses? Mixed views from Brighton fans on here.
BHAFC Braders Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Honest opinion of his strengths and weaknesses? Mixed views from Brighton fans on here. Honest opinion Strengths decent in air , knows where the back of the net is - nowhere near his peak yet I don't think Weaknesses taken him a bit of time to regain confidence in terms of tackling since the injury although looked like turning the corner towards the end of the season in that respect. Personally I think with a strike partner he'll do a fantastic job , got a tad isolated at times last season - he's done enough to show he is worthy of a shot at the Premiership, thought it was going to be with us mind - going to be tricky to replace.
