cjslcfc Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Why do people think we are blaming Foster for our position?! I think there's been a thread started on every single player and how they aren't good enough. The manager's been blamed. Even the owners have been blamed! There's no deflection going on here. People are just rightly having a go at some astonishing decisions from an opposition goalkeeper which have made it even harder for us to stay up. But no, you'd much rather all our anger was directed at our club, since that would clearly be the most constructive thing to do. Nothing wrong with being angry with Foster tonight. Stop getting on your high horses. We know we are already in the shit because of ourselves!
Corky Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Foster was worse than every bad performance any of our players has put in this season combined and at the end of the day it's those fine margins which keep teams in the prem. It actually was, he was shocking all game, nearly let a dribbler over the line, poor for the first goal, should've given away a penalty just afterwards, dropped simple crosses and shots then had that 30 seconds where he palmed a shot up in the air, dropped a simple catch then bundled a player over. However, we only have ourselves to blame, you can say he was crap but we only have ourselves to blame. Nobody to blame but ourselves.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Correct. One of my biggest gripes with modern football is the media's cult of the manager: the way SKY and TalkSport sell big games as "It's Chelsea v Arsenal - it's Mourinho v Wenger" What? No it's about the players on the pitch - the manager of each team is not in the 25 most important people taking part in the game once it starts. It's lazy, derivative nonsense that panders to morons incapable of comprehending more than one person's role in a system. If Pearson had had any real success this season, the media would be all over him too..and you'd probably be lapping it up? I remember they were after the UTD game. What's good for the goose....?
CosbehFox Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Some people really are balls of happiness aren't they?
whoareyaaa Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 I don't know whats up with everyone, if we beat Man City and Chelsea we are right back in it!
Guest ttfn Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Tbf Villa should have had a penalty in the first half.
Unabomber Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 It actually was, he was shocking all game, nearly let a dribbler over the line, poor for the first goal, should've given away a penalty just afterwards, dropped simple crosses and shots then had that 30 seconds where he palmed a shot up in the air, dropped a simple catch then bundled a player over. It looked like he was trying to give birth to a goal for half the game.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 One of the equally 1,000 worst things about all of this is, despite all the bellends droning on about us already being down so why are we interested in Villa against West Brom, I actually sat there watching us concede that bloody goal against Burnley about ten centuries ago thinking "that's the kind of thing that gets you relegated" even though we were practically in the Champions League final at that point. And that is truly insane. It makes no sense. QPR were a non-league team at that point in the season and we'd just creamed Man United, and still I was sitting there watching Schmeichel stand somewhere near the dugout pointlessly lining up the wall and thinking this is two points gone and we can't afford to lose two points against c***ing Burnley of all teams. Even though there are 38 games and we seem to play well in almost all of the bastards and still lose every week. Balls to it all.
Fox92 Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 We'll be typical Leicester City and win tomorrow night.
st albans fox Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 We didn't play at the weekend and we are playing man city in this round of games. Did anyone expect us not to be further away from safety come Thursday??
Raj Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Some people really are balls of happiness aren't they? Give me ONE glimmer of REAL hope then pal?
HankMarvin Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Correct. It's lazy, derivative nonsense that panders to morons incapable of comprehending more than one person's role in a system. It quite obviously is as we have seen this season, Newcastle since pardew left are worse than before, Palace are better, West Brom same players new manager again doing massively better, no doubt villa will also pull away. People that don't credit managers for the change in form are massively in denial
Raj Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 We'll be typical Leicester City and win tomorrow night. Its not typical of us nowadays though is it Foxy?
Fosse93 Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Sunderland were in a worse position last year and managed it. We CAN do this.
trabuch Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Bloody hell - just seen the Hutton sending off (not) incident - he really is scum.
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 I care..its just made me 150 quid. We've had this convo before..betting IS NOT about loving a football club. It's betting. Supporting is supporting. I was making it clear that I thought Villa would have their night.. So said so. Yeah, but as I said, no-one else does. And if no-one else cares why did you bother posting? Well the answer to that question of course is that you wanted to show off. It didn't bother you that everyone else was bitterly disappointed and had no desire to hear about your success at the bookies, you thought you'd chirp up and brag about it anyway. When you realise that what I've described above is what actually happened one might be tempted to say you're a bit, I dunno, annoying.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Oh well, pressure off due to unlikeliness of survival and we may put a run together. Villa and Sunderland play each other next I think as well.
Master Fox Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 We'll be typical Leicester City and win tomorrow night.
Corky Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Don't want to blame him instead of ourselves but Hutton should've gone, nasty twat.
Soar Fox Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 https://vine.co/v/O0gK5u5mpFj I'm actually speechless. Reminds me of Kasper last season against Blackpool away.
Dan Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Everybody plays each-other 2 times, the worst teams get relegated. Thanks for that I wasn't aware how the league system worked.

Even though there are 38 games and we seem to play well in almost all of the bastards and still lose every week. Balls to it all. But it's football isn't it? You know score than most Fez. It's a horrid game which has tiny intervals of excitement and success. Rather than sit there like some are worrying about the situation or this active encouragement of negativity. I look forward and think what if. Because that's what every football fan does, particularly at the season start what if we get that striker, what if we get off to a good start, what if we get a result somewhere. It's the game. Enjoy the ride.

Guest Col city fan Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 It quite obviously is as we have seen this season, Newcastle since pardew left are worse than before Palace are better, West Brom same players new manager again doing massively better, no doubt villa will also pull away. People that don't credit managers for the change in form are massively in denial I agree. The consistency of manager argument in football is one of the biggest myths. With some obvious and clear exceptions, having a managerial shake up can lead to a dramatic upturn in a clubs fortunes. At least over a shorter-term. And football IS now about short-term aims, like it or not. If all three...Villa, Brom and Palace now stay up this season, whilst us, Sunderland, or Hull/Burnley go down, it would be a dramatic demonstration that making the change, for the three clubs mentioned, would have been the right thing to do.
cjslcfc Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Sunderland were in a worse position last year and managed it. We CAN do this. No but haven't you heard? Down already. Not allowed to think otherwise.
