Tielemans63 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Cardozo and Vardy Never realised what a disproportionately large head he has.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Never realised what a disproportionately large head he has. Good for those set pieces!
Craig Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Never realised what a disproportionately large head he has. It's his big head that takes him to 6'4"
Devonfox1884 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 If this happens, it will be a MASSIVE statement of intent from us towards the rest of the premier league. Let's not forget, top wants to be challenging for top 5 in the next 3 years, Cardozo is the type of player we will need to make this happen. I'll go apeshit if we actually pull this signing off.
Mikey Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Hard not to get excited by rumours like this no-matter how much truth there is in it!
casablancas Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Would be spending a week in a dark room with a bottle of baby oil and some soft bog roll if this was to come through.
pazzerfox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Can anyone really see Oscar Cardozo signing for Leicester City? Yes we are ambitious and maybe have a bit of cash to spend but surely he would go to a team playing in Europe. I think this is just a pipe dream (but I have got a semi on thinking about it).

Who would have thought Djorkaeff, Hierro, Okocha, Anelka, Nakata, Campo etc would sign for Fat Sam's Bolton all those years ago?
Hack Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Who would have thought Djorkaeff, Hierro, Okocha, Anelka, Nakata, Campo etc would sign for Fat Sam's Bolton all those years ago? Wow a reasoned and fair response!!
st albans fox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 I'm going to dream tonight - the great cardozo in blue and white. assuming it doesn't happen, I will still have the memory!
Soar Fox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Who would have thought Djorkaeff, Hierro, Okocha, Anelka, Nakata, Campo etc would sign for Fat Sam's Bolton all those years ago? This. When Man City got promoted back into the Premier League back in 2002 they signed Nicholas Anelka from PSG. People are forgetting how much pulling power being a premiership club has now.
KentyLCFC Posted 26 May 2014 Author Posted 26 May 2014 Tbf I really thought this wouldn't happen, but as other people have said I just cant help but get excited now. You heard it HERE first people.
Agent Fox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 How strange yet exciting. If we are interested and if he were interested then it would be an amazing signing. £12 million appears a large amount of money but can we put a price on survival? I'd rather spend £12 million and be relegated rather than spend pennies and be relegated. At least we can say we gave it a good go. If we sign him for 12 million and we get two/three secent seasons out of him, that will have been money well spent.
Stadt Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Him being 31 isn't a problem, it's not as if his play style is running beyond defenders is it? Good in the air, good free kick taker and a good finisher. Ulloa £7m or Cardozo for £5m?
jayfox26 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 It is on quite a few different websites about this. I read somewhere that Cardozo's representatives are due in London today to hold talks with interested parties. Everytime I've seen him play I've always said he looks a top quality striker, this would be an amazing signing. Apparently clubs in Russia are interested too but if we could sneek in quick this could happen. He's not played too often for Benfica this year so I reckon we could get him for a cheeky £7m. Even if this doesn't happen, it is exciting getting linked with players of his calibre!
kingfox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Southampton paid £12 million for Gaston Ramirez when they got promoted, we can surely do the same. If we somehow get Cardozo and add Krychowiak as well, I'd probably spunk myself for the first time over a transfer. We are in the Premier League now, yes it's been 10 years, but anything is possible, stuff like this can easily be real.
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Fvck off is this true. I refuse to believe it............ mostly...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Snippet of the article from that fanatik website from Turkey: İngiliz kulübü 5 milyon € bölgede teklifini masaya inanılıyor Portekizli kulübü Benfica takımında oynayan ileriye, yeni terfi Leicester City ile görüşmeleri sürdürüyor Which Google tells us means... English clubs in the region of € 5 million offer on the table is believed that the Portuguese club Benfica team that plays in the future, is in talks with newly promoted Leicester City
Dan Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 Him being 31 isn't a problem, it's not as if his play style is running beyond defenders is it? Good in the air, good free kick taker and a good finisher. I thought this. I'd be less concerned about us signing a 31 year old Cardozo than say for example, an ageing Eto'o - who has relied a lot on pace. His physique and technique will not deteriorate as much with age. I bet a 35 year old Cardozo would still be effective. I'm slowly starting to think it could happen. As others have correctly pointed out - the pull of the Premier League is not to be underestimated. This bloke's done it all at Benfica. Well I say all, all but win a European competition, but he knew that Benfica aren't allowed to do that when he signed for them. If he's really on about £20k a week then he's actually well within our price range.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 The bloke has only turned 31 in the past week, in all.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 If this happens, it will be a MASSIVE statement of intent from us towards the rest of the premier league. Callabinho Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 More reports in Turkey are confirming he has rejected a chance to join their league to achieve one of his dreams, playing in the English premier league. Looks like this is actually happening......
