cc_star Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Most important signing of the summer? Definitely! Just seen it on the SSN ticker
Webbo Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 He wouldn't have signed anyone if there had been any doubt about him signing.
lgfualol Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 About time. The advert below this is "My Pearson store Online" on my phone. I want to buy my own little pearson.
Guest Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Do you remember those days not so long ago when 75% of the forum hated him and wanted him out?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 I guess it was inevitable being that he has already signed four players but great to have it official..
Mark_w Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Do you remember those days not so long ago when 75% of the forum hated him and wanted him out? Yeah that never happened. We had numerous polls and I think it was a 50/50 split at worst. Most of us aren't that thick really.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Do you remember those days not so long ago when 75% of the forum hated him and wanted him out?He had a rough spell for sure but we have all moved on since then Good news if he continues his good work
Walshy5 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 I think the only time i wanted Peason out was after that barnsley debacle. I just couldn't see anyway of turning it around and it looked like he'd completely lost the dressing room. What a turnaround it been though and all hats off to him. Love the bloke (but not in a gay way).
fazzyfox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Just haggling over whether he can have three or four new pairs of white trainers a season which is why I fear an approach from Mike Ashley
crisp packet Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Never wanted him gone! "Long live the king" Now let's get the 2/3 quality signings we need. (+kasper, nuge and DYER sorted) COYB
allen10 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Could never see him leaving to be fair, other than to a "top 6 club" which, by the way, I think he has the potential to manage at some point....hopefully with us!
leicesterseddon Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 As others have said, it seems this was always going to happen eventually and that it was just a matter of time. However, a part of me can't help wondering why it has taken this long. Whilst we were still playing games, it perhaps made sense to say 'let's wait till the season is over before announcing it'. But that was over 3 weeks ago. If everything were sorted, why wouldn't we have already announced it? My surmise is that the broad terms of the deal were agreed, but that there were perhaps a few hold-ups because football contracts are getting more and more complicated. With the huge gulf in revenue between the Premier League and the Championship, clubs are wanting to protect themselves against massive losses in the event of relegation - particularly with the new FFP rules. Which means more and more performance clauses, which are then negotiated between the club and the agents (which of course suits the agent, as he (usually it is a he) will claim a bigger share of the spoils for his work). Again - this is just me speculating. But I wouldn't be surprised if the contracts we are signing this year are about a hundred pages long and are heavily conditional on results.
