Jackubu Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 The Anderlect news twitter page has said a friendly will take place between our clubs. There is nothing official so it all could be a load of rubbish but what do people think?
Guest Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 I think we should clap in the 34th minute to show our appreciation of the 34th minute. Just getting that out there

Oxfordfox83 Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 The Anderlect news twitter page has said a friendly will take place between our clubs. There is nothing official so it all could be a load of rubbish but what do people think? Think it would be a great trip, we have a player in common and their fans are clearly quality. Would be much preferable to playing clubs we have no association with. Sorry, I mean: "I'm much too cool for school, please like me for making a disparaging comment."
David Lowe Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 I think we should clap in the 34th minute to show our appreciation of the 34th minute. Just getting that out there No I really think it should be the 47th minute - the number of players in both squads added together minus the number of pets Dean Hammond has.

It probably would be a laugh, yes, I don't think even the cynics are denying that. I enjoyed it when their fans came here (notably they were all in their late twenties to late thirties and early forties), I put my hand straight up and said fair play, that was quality. It's that a whole section of our support (18 year old Twitter obsessed "lads") has to get obsessively needy that becomes cringe-worthy.
Voll Blau Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Hopefully at their place. Good point. That way our bedsheets won't get sticky.

You missed out Derby, everyone wanted them to win the play-off final and join us and leave Forest behind and all be friends all on our own together.
stevelcfc Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Don't forget Cheltenham Could we class Bolton as one too? They seem to be a feeder club for our shite.

Buce Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Could we class Bolton as one too? They seem to be a feeder club for our shite. No, Bolton are a toilet; they are a repository for our shit.
Carl the Llama Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 http://www.voetbal24.be/2014/06/03/anderlecht-speelt-oefenwedstrijd-tegen-vrienden-van-leicester-city-met-wasilewski/ "Anderlecht are playing a few foreign clubs this preseason including Dynamo Kiev, Dynamo Bucharest, and Leicester City. Above all it's the game against the latter club that stands out. Following the transfer of Wasilewski to Liecester, a fair amount of Anderlecht and City fans have befriended each other - Anderlecht fans even sent a delegation to cheer on Was at a Leicester match. City were promoted to the Premier League this season. Like Anderlecht they were their league's champions. Ritchie De Laet also plays for the newly promoted side."
VLC86 Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Do Anderlecht fans even give a shit about us I dont know, I think the only way we will ever find out is if we start a thread about it

Hopefully it is the Marketing department actually realising they can make a bit of money and generate a bit of interest, we should do more friendlies like this: Should Dyer leave for Watford, a friendly against Watford would generate more interest than against any other poor championship side with no history, or maybe Anderlecht organised it as an unofficial testimonial for Was, either way the friendly makes sense as there will be more interest in it.
