AKCJ Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Who has caught your eye as a potential signing for City in this World Cup.I personally think Ki Sung Kueng would be an excellent signing and would improve our thin midfield.Origi has had two excellent cameo sub appearances for Belgium, too. Although I suspect he'll be going to one of the bigger clubs.
Ross-Kemp Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Joel Campbell. Eder Valencia. Janmaat. Both chile & mexicos goalkeepers
cjslcfc Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Enner Valencia This Brahimi lad for Algeria is looking sharp Vargas for Chile Aranguiz for Chile Joel Campbell
Donut Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Enner Valencia (Ecuador) Jefferson Montero (Ecuador) Oribe Peralta (Mexico) Miguel Layun (Mexico) Joel Campbell (Costa Rica)
Mark_w Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 That Messi lad looks good, let's get him. Am I doing it right?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Didn't see the Bosnians yesterday, but Besic looked a steady little midfielder against the Argies, only 21 and plays for Ferencvaros so doubt he'd cost the world either. Could be utter toss, though!
pazzerfox Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 It's difficult buying players based on their performances in a World Cup. A lot have played exceptionally in the past but been poor players in the Premiership.
Richard Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Diaz at Chile looks classy and I thought Matt Leckie has looked dangerous for Australia everytime he gets running
Xen Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 The 6ft5 Korean striker (Kim/park/lee, I forget) doesn't look too bad. Would be fantastic having a tall target man to bring down our wingers crosses for Vardy to run onto, like he's just done for one of the Koreans goals...
adam95581 Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 4-2-3-1 with an attacking three of Knocky, Brahimi and Mahrez would be pretty dangerous!! Been impressed with the Algerians in general tonight! Tough, committed and technically sound.
lgfualol Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 I've got my eyes on a lad called Benzema, plays for the French team. Quite below the radar.
fox766 Posted 22 June 2014 Posted 22 June 2014 Some portugese guy called ronaldo is supposed to be ok. I'll give top a call and let him know 😅
Agent Fox Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 That Messi guy looks... Okay boys, funny once or twice, now back to the meat and gravy of the thread so everyone doesn't have to scroll through the sprouts.
GingerrrFox Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Ki Sung Yueng is a classy proven premiership midfielder. Kyle Beckerman has spent his entire career in the MLS but he hasn't looked out of place against Ghana and Portugal and looks a very solid anchor man. Ivan Perisic has looked absolute quality for Croatia in the 2 games IMO so far. Also Marcos Rojo has looked very assured at left back/left wing back for Argentina considering he usually plays in the centre of defence for Sporting Lisbon.
Mark_w Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 That Messi guy looks... Okay boys, funny once or twice, now back to the meat and gravy of the thread so everyone doesn't have to scroll through the sprouts. What do you make of that Robben lad? Looks like he could be worth a gamble to me.
deejdeej Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Agree with Matt Leckie from the Aussies, Vasquez looks quality for Mexico too though I'm sure bigger clubs want him. Some of Chile's players make ours look even worse, is Bielsa the manager for them? Always rated him as a gaffer.
Dan Posted 23 June 2014 Posted 23 June 2014 Enner Valencia strikes you as an obvious one, 3 in 2 for Ecuador and I'm pretty sure he scored against us too. I've liked Ki for a while actually, not surprised he's catching a few eyes this world cup. Cuadrado's been one of my favourites in this world cup.
