weller54 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 ....only Chelsea and Arsenal up next.. Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Brooksy Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 If De Laet goes off we have to play a CB at RB How ridiculous Please tell me he's not injured aswell.
STUHILL Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Always thought this would be a difficult game for us. Everton have a fantastic manager and some talented players all over the pitch. The injuries have been such bad luck for us but they do show we should have done more business. A little frustrated by that but hopefully will sign 3-4 players still.
Crinklyfox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Everton have some class players. We knew that. We can still make a fist of this second half. Nobody won anything by giving up and I don't see City rolling over.
RowlattsFox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Injuries are a bastard. We have been competive but the difference is in around the box. Mahrez has been shite. Can't see us getting anything but I hope we stay in it.
adam Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 well half time. Need some full backs. Richie has given the ball away all first half and the left back is too slow. Need to spend some money sharpish or it's gonna be a long season.
Richard Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Jesus they haven't half had some lucky assists. First one wasn't a corner and then came from two lucky deflections and a lucky rebound. Second one from a lucky misskick after knocky had unfortunately slipped. That's the premier league, mistakes that would go unpunished in the championship won't against the big boys.
J.Lisemore Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Honestly if Andy King and Dean Haammond want to prove a point...now is the time. Get involved and try and control the game.
Legend_in_blue Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 In the Championship neither of those goals go in. That's the difference. One chance inevitably leads to one goal. Clinical. Get used to it.
lgfualol Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Please tell me he's not injured aswell. He was being looked at by the medical staff, Hammond was filling in for him lol
Aus Fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 We look alright, but they are a class above. Would love to play them with Vardy in the team, think he would cause real problems. Knocky and Mahrez look nervous and need to run at the full backs, stones is there for the taking and Bains is playing to far forward. No James or Drinkwater and it's hard to see us getting anything. Still rather be getting beaten by top class opposition than being away to Bolton or Barnsley today.
dhermon Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Just silly little things and bit of sloppy play at times by us Everton making chances and luck and using it well 1-2 fair result so far
Bryn Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 If one of King and Hammond goes down now, who actually goes centre-mid?
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 So in conclusion, we need: LB, RB, CM, ST and possibly another winger and CB. Not much at all.
ollielawrence Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 We seriously need some strength in depth... I've been saying it to my mates for weeks!! Left back, right back, a winger, a central midfielder and striker light!! 2 if wood leaves!! Worrying thing is I can't see Nigel buying 5/6 new players!! What have our scouting team and DOF been doing all summer? Got a feeling this could be a long season unless we start spending some money
lee7 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 With Chelsea, arsenal and united all coming up next and our squad thining by the minute our first team is starting to look weak. Teams are clinical in the prem five them a chance and they'll take it!
MHC Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 To summarise in one word so far, considering we are at home. Embarrassing.
Aus Fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I actually think we're alright in the strikers department Ulloa, Nugent, Vardy, Wood and Schluup/hopper if we get really short
Raw Dykes Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 On the bright side, we're only one goal down and we don't look outclassed. Nice to see Ulloa get off the mark already. On the down side, the squad is threadbare and we're having shite luck with injuries. I suppose, if you're going to have an injury crisis, during a transfer window isn't the worst time to get one.
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Don't know what the complaining is about I think we are playing well against a top team it's only half time
STUHILL Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 To summarise in one word so far, considering we are at home. Embarrassing. 2-1 against a potential top 5 Premiership side? You're embarrassing mate!
MPH Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I Like the look of Ulloa. Seems a good addition to the team....
Tuna Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Everton only in first gear! Can easily see this ending 1-4.
