Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Ian Dennis @Iandennisbbc 1m This might be a long shot but hearing whispers of Leicester City interest in Jermaine Defoe #LCFC Think it is unfortunately
copunk Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 would love defoe, scores goals wherever he plays, doubt he would come here though
Robin JD Popley Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Aaron Lennon would be dece if he's available. Think he is mate, but talk of him going to Stoke. Think he would be great though if we could convince him but as a newly promoted side, it is difficult. Sure we'll end up getting someone mind.
sdb Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 For me we're lacking another winger, and possibly a striker and a CB too. Injuries in those areas and we're in trouble. Development signings on deadline day seem strange to me. Players around their prime are required.
JonnyBoy Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 according to Now football and BBC sport Defoe could be joining us. Imagine...
Kitchandro Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 These 'whispers' have probably been from Foxes Talk

st albans fox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Would certainly bust our wage structure which surely makes it very very unlikely. More likely is his agent talking up possible destinations to push someone who can afford him into doing a deal.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Another winger would be nice but not essential, another option and would give him time to bed in before January and Riyad (probably) disappearing for the Cup of Nations.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Do QPR really have more money than us? I am sure we could sign Defoe if we tried. He played at Pompey for ****s sake!
suffolk fox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 This is crap reputed to be on between £68,000 and £90,000 per week at Toronto. Only signed for them in January of this year ok they have lost their manager but why do they want rid? Used to work in Tottenham in North London for ten years went to Spurs a lot. Loads of rumours doing thebrounds that he was a trouble maker and caused unrest in the changing rooms at Spurs hence why although he scored goals he rarely made their first eleven. We don't want or need him anyway but no way will he come here.

I'd have thought it'd be essential to get in another left sided player, considering all our wingers are right footed. What happens if Konch/Schlupp pick up an injury or lose form?

Bamba's Babes Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Defoe = 10 goals guaranteed. Get him in!!!
Stevosevic Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 He wants out and wants to come home. Looks like a move somewhere today is very likely. And he is in England today.
BigMicky Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Do QPR really have more money than us? I am sure we could sign Defoe if we tried. He played at Pompey for ****s sake! ???? When Pompey were throwing money around for fun.....
lcfcsnow Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Aren't Tony and Mahrez left footed? You're right, but their preferred position is on the right.
Jon the Hat Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 ???? When Pompey were throwing money around for fun..... the Pompey reference was more about ruling out smaller clubs like us.
fazzyfox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Thought I saw Carlos Puyol in Morrison's, I asked him to sign my autograph book but when I read it it turned out he was comedian Alan Davies.
