Leicester City v Burnley post match thread 2 - 2

IMO this game was a game id rather see later in the season than now, the reason being for some unknown reason a lot of our fans were expecting us to destroy them, lets not forget we came back from behind to get a point from them at home last season, they finished just 7 points behind them last season, yes we have bought better players in but if you look at the 2 starting teams last year and the 2 starting teams today barr 1 or 2 players each team they are the same, a point last year was okay and for some reason this year it isnt good enough, after a poor result last week and a draw this week i can already sense some of our fans starting to turn, we are doing okay!

Worst of all we have to watch that ginger bellend on MOTD cheers for ruining my fooking weekend.

Nugent - love the guy but his final product was beyond shit today, can he even see?

Kasper at fault for both goals imo too, that's a game we should have won with ease. Looked terrified of conceding for the entire second half and never attacked with any pace or conviction. Shown with poor performances vs Stoke (albeit we won) Palace and Burnley that we struggle when we're not the underdogs.

Side note, thought SK1 was poor today. Oh well, onto the next one

They didn't deserve to win, but we didn't deserve to win after our showing the 2nd half either. They wanted it more than we did and we just laid back.

True or not (and I think a draw was fair over 90 mins), 95 minutes gone you have the ball in their half with a chance to get a shot on goal and you concede. Very, very naive.

Awful performance. Very little effort second half. We can't ride on the back of the United win forever. We need to up our game against the smaller teams. Nugent needs benching for a while, his form is poor. Would like to see Wood given his chance. Disappointed!

Absolutely gutted about that result. Some naïve play towards the end where we should have run it into the corner but tried to attack. If they had got their heads up (Nuge) then it might have been a totally different result - schlupp far post and free.

However, we have a good points total and a 2 week break for Nige to sort it out. Think I see why Knocky is not starting, that boy needs to lose a few.

Sort of game Wood would have liked but can't fault any of the subs.

Ah well. At least we got a point!

I could take it if it hadn't been in the 6th f***ing minute of stoppage time, a much changed team needed at Newcastle in two weeks time, I want to see Albrighton, Hamer, James and Simpson in for Kasper, Mahrez (though he did well today to be fair to him) Hammond and De Laet.

****ing shit second half. Ulloa was ****ing wank. Should have killed it off but pussied around second half.

He was still more creative than Nugent and Hammond. One is indecisive and the other is seriously overrated for his Barcelona side and back passes.

Nugent's substitute performance was astonishingly poor. He was playing in slow motion and looked knackered after about 5 minutes.

surely we shouldn't be asking for a different keeper to beat a weakened burnley side ?  the first goal - liam allows Jute to pull off him and no one comes with the runner. the second - panic in our defence when we should have been running down the clock at the other end. and our wall - i want to see that again. our tall players should have been on the far side of the wall away from KS apart from the end player as a left footer is never going to put it in over him. they were always going to shoot rather than cross. just sick - moreso because we have followed up a flat away performance with a flat home one. and yes - that was flat against that team.

First half was decent, second half was poor.

I thought the team selection wasn't great, the subs weren't right and the team in general looked flat.

Burnley really deserved that point.

Another poor game following up from Palace last week.

That is inexcusable.

Even when winning I was willing to admit we were poor and it was a poor game. A draw in truth is a fair result, that does not excuse it though.

We've shown how well we can play, we all know we're better than this.

As I've said I feared the 'easier' games would be where we'd struggle and it seems the case.

It's all well and good playing so well against the top teams but if we're not gonna play well and make it count against teams that will be around us come the end if the season what's the point.

I've gone from not be able to fault any players in our first few games to struggling to give anyone any credit in our last 2.

Very disappointed in our last 2 games.

Let's just hope the international break rejuvenates us and we come back fighting.

I can feel a meltdown coming on..

Yes, we should have won, but that point could be crucial come the end..

The two we stupidly let slip could prove even more crucial.

Both pointless, ifs, buts and maybes at the moment, both very valid arguments though.

Some pretty fair comments. I thought considering our injuries we gave a really good account. I can't get my head around the criticism of Trippier, on gas and air at the end, we were losing, unless you really think it was some kind of master plan to get injury time.
