LCCFox96 Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 I reckon this is all a ploy to hurry a Defoe deal along and push Kramaric into finalising his deal (which hopefully is very soon). Can't realistically see us being top of Ings' agenda should Burnley even accept an offer! i cannot see burnley letting go of him. especially now vokes is fit again With Burnley now having Ings, Vokes fit again and Ashley Barnes in a run of form they do have some very decent fire power up there which means they've got a real chance of survival if all 3 keep it up. Further reasoning for us to strengthen our own forward line with a few new additions *crosses fingers for Kramaric and Defoe*.

But it is a funny old game and I sure have been wrong before! Sorry cocked up this posting - can't operate this IPhone yet!
Lovejoy Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 If Ginge has anything to do with it, he certainly won't come here, based on the last year or so. Can't really see it happening this window unless someone offers silly money.
tyneside fox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Spurs are lining up £8 mil bid for Ings according to sources today. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2015/01/09/tottenham-to-see-off-premier-league-rivals-in-bid-to-sign-8m-striker/
breadandcheesebrother Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Job done if spurs sign him. We probably know we can't get ings. Our interest seems more about unsettling the player and tempting other clubs to move for him, so that burnleh lose their key striker. Very smart tactic by nige and his team.
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I don't think it is anything to do with unsettling him, it's not Pearson's way, if it was anything more than paper talk it would have been an inquiry into his possible availability and cost, it seems we went elsewhere.

Guest Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If he goes to Spurs more reason they'll move people out.
Jace Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Any more and Burnley are going to have to accept. Can't imagine them being able to afford to turn down that sort of money for a player who is going to be out of contract and leaving for free in the summer anyway
Fox 4 Life Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 That would be a great move for Ings - future England strike partnership at the Lane. Would also mean Burnley are guaranteed to drop down to the championship so win win.
dsr-burnley Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Any more and Burnley are going to have to accept. Can't imagine them being able to afford to turn down that sort of money for a player who is going to be out of contract and leaving for free in the summer anyway He won't be leaving for free. Under 24's have a transfer tribunal. And £7m ain't going to get him. You know how much a Premier League place is worth, and I doubt Ings is worth as much to any other club (apart from yourselves, QPR, and other strugglers) as he is worth to us.
Bamba's Babes Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 not Pearsons style. Nor was saying we are better than a club in every way. He clearly hates Burnley FC
DB11 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I don't care if we sign him but it'd be fantastic if another club do, just so he isn't scoring goals for Burnley
Guest Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 my thoughts too. I'd like someone else to sign him right at the end of the window ensuring Burnley go back down (which I think they'll do whether they sell him or not).
dayday Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I'm amazed this thread is still going, never going to happen
stix Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-transfer-news-spurs-face-battle-with-manchester-city-to-sign-danny-ings-9967410.html Surely not?
Fox92 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 You never know, even if it's just to sign "another English player" to stay inline with the homegrown rules. I mean, did anyone see them signing Sinclair and Johnson?
Soar Fox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Top trolling by Pearson. Make a bid for a player that he knew he stood no chance of getting, making other teams aware. Ending with our nearest rivals potentially selling their best player. Well done fella.
MPH Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I think we're just teasing and trying to unsettle Burnley a little at the moment - I don't see this as a genuine bid. Can you imagine the look on the Thais' face though if the bid is accepted? We'd have to sign him just to save face...

soxfan3247 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 'Sky Bet can report a run of money today on Danny Ings to join Liverpool. The Burnley striker was 10/1 for an Anfield switch this morning but is now after consistent money on the mooted move. He’s 2/5 to stay with the Clarets beyond the deadline.' No idea what the cause is, but maybe he'll leave Burnley.
WiFoxes Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Ings leaving would be just fantastic news as far as I'm concerned. I don't care where he goes.
yorkie1999 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 According to Dyche on sky sports last night, Danny says he's staying, His team mates say he's staying, the chairman says he's staying, the board says he's staying, the fans say he's staying, the tea lady says he's staying, his wife says he's staying and most of burnley says he's staying.....Read into that what you want.
