Vindaloo FOX Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 bringing on De Laet was wrong, Okazaki was pressing upfront for us and holding the ball well also linking up the play . after bringing on De Laet we have sat back to much .
StanSP Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 no idea why they interview him without a teammate or a translator. great guy tho. reckon any of the rest of the squad know Japanese though ?
UPinCarolina Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Shinji. Definitely grabbing a shirt. Never slagged on him, but even other team's fans think his infectious joy is wonderful.
ScouseFox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 reckon any of the rest of the squad know Japanese though ? didn't yuki abe speak through a translator for a bit? he was japanese wasn't he or have I been incredibly accidentally racist
VLC86 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 reckon any of the rest of the squad know Japanese though ? Pretty sure Schlupp is our designated Japanese translator but being injured he couldn't be there.
Webbo Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I'd guess he can speak German so Huth or Fuchs could translate.
StanSP Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I'd guess he can speak German so Huth or Fuchs could translate. why german
Raw Dykes Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I'd guess he can speak German so Huth or Fuchs could translate. Yeah. Schupp, as well.
Raw Dykes Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 why german "At club level, Okazaki is the most prolific Japanese player in Bundesliga history."
StanSP Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 i know he played there. doesn't necessarily mean he knows the language (i'm being pedantic, I know).
SemperEadem Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 didn't yuki abe speak through a translator for a bit? he was japanese wasn't he or have I been incredibly accidentally racist Had a translator and worked with a bloke at DMU on his English. Suffered homesickness which did affect him.
Len Finsbury Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 What a difference a fortnight makes! He was the worst player in the history of football two weeks ago, now he wears his underpants on the outside of his trousers.
Carl the Llama Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 What a difference a fortnight makes! He was the worst player in the history of football two weeks ago, now he wears his underpants on the outside of his trousers. His English may not be great but there's no need to call him a retard.
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 remember when riyad couldn't speak any english so he just got knocky to talk for him great times
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 bring back kaebi to translate for all aka THE PRINCE OF PERSIA
Chester Dontlie Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 his interviews are so good, he has no idea what he's being asked Brilliant stuff Couple of hilarious quotes there. Again a great game from the lad with another one of those unique Okazaki goals A pity he was subbed so early, he was the best attacking player against Villa, did some great turns and was holding up alright.
Nick Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 He was excellent today in many respects but simply lost the ball too many times which after our counter attacking team had broken forward left us a bit vulnerable.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Thought he was our best attacker by miles today. He is quality. If he had someone who was actually fit enough to press alongside him, it could have been even better! Loved the way he followed up for his goal, he really gave everything to get there. There is no way Vardy 2016 would have done that.
KP Fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 bringing on De Laet was wrong, Okazaki was pressing upfront for us and holding the ball well also linking up the play . after bringing on De Laet we have sat back to much . We would be all be singing De Laet's praises if Leo had put his chance away.
CharlieCharles Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 4 goals in 9 games now. 16-17 goals a season average.
sphericalfox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 I love Shinji, but he needs to cut out collapsing at every close challenge. I think he's earning a rep, and when he actually gets fouled he's not winning obvious freekicks. The less said about his penalty shout the better.
dbtcity Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Love Shinji and the last few games I've noticed him hitting the deck a lot less in all fairness to him, but maybe he just needs to go against the rule and skip leg day and get on the weights
