Dickov22 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I think he'll go with Schwarzer. Hamer has been good and I like him for crosses. Had a mare against Spurs though.
Arkie Bennett Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Sounds like more Stringer-style speculation.
Claridge Posted 9 January 2015 Author Posted 9 January 2015 If I were Hamer and I were dropped I would purposely bang Pearsons daughter. Make sure he walks in on us and all. roasted with knockhart involved
yorkie1999 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I'd be thinking more along the lines of selling Schmeichel and keeping Hamer.
MPH Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Our most experienced? For sure. Our best? I'd argue with that. Personally, I find it more logical that Schwarzer is likely go be given starts against the more established teams or in the more crucial fixtures, where his experience can come in handy. Then again, all of our remaining fixtures are pretty much crucial. Im not arguing with you... But What esperience can a goalkeeper bring to a match exactly? I mean, how can a keeper use it to improve our chances of winning a match?
weller54 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Hamer.. Hasn't conceded a goal from open play in the last 3 matches... Can't be dropped!!!
mugshot Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Smith has gone to Mansfield on a month loan - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30743127 Think it should be Hamer in goal unless he makes a howler or gets injured then put the big Aussie, no point rocking the boat for no reason! Schwarzer is a good keeper, but hasnt played this season and only shows as 4 apps last season in Premier League so needs some game time. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players/profile.career-history.html/mark-schwarzer
bmt Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Everyone saying Hamer has done nothing wrong is obviously forgetting the free kick against Spurs. I understand the wall broke up which wasn't on, but he should have kept it out. If Pearson thinks Schwarzer gives us a better chance of a result then so be it!
Buzzell Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 "No chance"?! Don't be so sure. So you wasn't lying then when you said Pearson doesn't rate Hamer. Feel for Hamer if he's dropped.
Beliall Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Maybe not this week, but having scwartzer first choice is a no brainer with the positionwe are in
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Everyone saying Hamer has done nothing wrong is obviously forgetting the free kick against Spurs. I understand the wall broke up which wasn't on, but he should have kept it out. If Pearson thinks Schwarzer gives us a better chance of a result then so be it! Every keeper makes mistakes, but overall he has been more commanding and composed in goal than Kasper in my opinion. I no longer worry every time the ball is in the box and over head height, as more often than not Hamer claims it.
Deucalion Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If Schwarzer starts I think we should chant Hamer's name all game.
crisp packet Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Let me start with stating, I like the way Hamer has played but I have no issues with Schwarzer being selected for the Villa match. If NP sees him as the preferred choice, there is the chance that he is. At this level, it's not about hard feelings, it's about putting a team out there each week the manager feels is best suited to win. If that's with Schwarzer, then so be it. This. It's being loyal what has got us in this position in the 1st place..... In N.P I trust .
foxinsocks Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 This remind me of the old joke where the idiot helps the judge who has lost his car wheel and nuts (he puts three nuts on each wheel and the judge says he will help him in return) - only to ruin it by throwing a brick thru the judge's windscreen and saying "you won't forget me will you?" Just as we are all feeling good.. win two and draw one - Hamer doing fine - we hire a goalie we don't need and play him!
biggs Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If Schwarzer starts I think we should chant Hamer's name all game. ......and that would help the team how??? regardless of who is in goal tomorrow and personally I'm fine with either, the team doesn't need any of this crap.
Tuna Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I expect Mark to start, he is the better goalkeeeper.
Deucalion Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 ......and that would help the team how??? regardless of who is in goal tomorrow and personally I'm fine with either, the team doesn't need any of this crap. Well it worked so well with Ricardo and Weale !!
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Absolutely ridiculous and defo not a Pearson move. He doesn't change a winning team
LCCFox96 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Hard on Hamer as he has done nothing to deserve losing his place. In fact I'd go as far as saying he's performed as well, if not better than Kasper. He's been an impressive acquisition on a free transfer! Personally I don't think it's inconceivable that Schwarzer will play but it probably one of the harder decisions NP will have to make picking Saturday's 11.
Foxhateram Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Organisation at the back has been weak all season. We need someone to organise, keepers have the best view of the game. They see attacks developing. Schwarzer has the know how and the ability to lead, he is exactly what we have been crying out for. He will start tomorrow and I think it will be our first premier league clean sheet for a long time.
ealingfox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 He will start tomorrow and I think it will be our first premier league clean sheet for a long time. Apart from the Premier League clean sheet Hamer kept less than 2 weeks ago you mean?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Hamer has far outweighed my expectations, definitely rate him above Schmeichel so far. Shouldn't be dropped until he has a couple of bad games I reckon
theessexfox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If Hamer's getting dropped for mistakes then jeez I expect Kasper to never play again
Torten Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Hamer's been solid but in the PL, there's no room for sentiment. We should play the best team we have and as good as Hamer has been, we have a top keeper in Schwarzer who could still start for most of the lower teams in this league.
