Decent restaurants in and around town?

Recommended Posts

I probably go to Desi Street Food 1.5 times a week. The samosa wraps are less than £5 and you get two.

Not had Mexican for a while so booked in at the Bodega Cantina St Martin's at the weekend, anyone been there?

Only been once, thought it was ok but wasn't as good as I'd hoped

On the half days do you just walk halfway there and then turn round and go home again?

We had a great meal for my Nrs birthday before Christmas  which forgot to post about.

Giggling Squid in St. Martin's.

Beautiful  delicious Thai food.

Absolutely  loved the food, even the kids ate everything  so that's saying something!

Not cheap though(But I am tight!!!)

Heading to Foxton locks area on Thursday. Could anyone recommend any decent pubs/eateries around this area.

As mentioned, the Foxton Locks Inn is as nice as any.

Other options nearby are the Black Horse in Foxton village or the Bell Inn at Gumley. Haven't been to either for a while but believe both are meant to do decent food.

Went to the Pear Tree Inn, Woodhouse, on sat eve. Really nice food and atmosphere.

Went 3 weeks ago.

Thought it was slightly on the steep side in terms of cost personally, given the small portions that we received.

Can't help but think that they think they're something like not in terms of presentation.
