Stevosevic Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 As some of you have probably noticed, i'm feeling particularly negative with regards to our chances of staying up. I look at our fixtures and feel our season will be over by the time we play Spurs away in the league. Of course, the table is very tight - but it has been since when we went bottom and we've still not managed to climb upwards. But enough of negative threads as we have enough of those. Please fill me with optimism with reasons as to why we can stay up. I need some positive thoughts!
AKCJ Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 1) We have a solid defence. 2) Jamie Vardy can't stop scoring.
foxfanazer Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 We went on a terrible run without a win and yet we are still in the mix. We have a decent run in fixture wise Kramaric could make us more clinical. Riyad will be back next month
ousefox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 QPR have a horrid away record and have all the decent teams at home. Villa are ****ing terrible and can't score for shit. We surely have a better team than Burnley over a full season. George Boyd is one of their best players ffs We have an 100% win record against Man Utd this season...
Kyuubi Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Soon Kramaric will be 100% match fit which means Nugent or Vardy won't start (Hopefully both if Ulloa partners him)
Crinklyfox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 We have a good team spirit considering our position. When the team plays to its potential we can get results. We are not likely to get 40 points this year but there are several other clubs in the same position. Every season it seems that one of the bottom clubs turns it around and heads up the table and one of the mid-table sides goes on a bad run and gets relegated. It could be us that turns it around this year.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 The Premier league isn't particularly strong, plenty of poor sides down there with us. Another 20pts gives us a huge chance of staying up.
Dan Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 The others are crap and we have signed someone who is potentially going to be a top forward. We aren't far off, and aren't completely incapable of getting something off the top sides.
Leicesterpool Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 As mentioned a good defence plus yet to be hammered this season.
gerrytaggart Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 We will get more points than at least 3 other teams.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 We have a superb manager, who is second to none. We are oozing with confidence. We have the right players, to push up into the top ten, As you can see, we shouldn't be worrying.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Only conceded 3 goals twice all season Riyad Togetherness Spirit Last 10 games all winnable. And
StanSP Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Positives? - We turn up usually against the big teams - We're not a million miles off safety. It's 3 points worth and the way other teams drop points we are definitely still in with a chance of survival (I've never lost hope so far this season!) - We have a very determined manager and squad and perhaps with a couple more additions of experience, it may go some way to ensuring we have enough to survive - We've never been battered in a game - we keep ourselves in games and as long as the on-pitch abilities can match that spirit and determination for the rest of the season, we will give ourselves a good chance - Our run-in is relatively generous to that of teams around us. It's still in our own hands. Our fate lies with us so we need to make the most of it before we get in too much deep trouble.
fuchsntf Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 BECAUSE we have Nigel Pearson, who has unfinished business..!!! Nigel = Champion/quietly goes about his work/deep thinker Pearson=Rock/aloof/stubborn/creative/sees the larger picture
Mark_from_USA Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 5 reasons: 1) Hull 2) QPR 3) Aston Villa 4) Burnley 5) Sunderland
AKCJ Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I can't be the only one who glanced at that and thought that Vardy's leg was Wasyl's massive cock?
Stevosevic Posted 20 January 2015 Author Posted 20 January 2015 Some really good points being made, my spirits have been raised!
Suffolk exile Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I honestly think the main 2 reasons are (as others have said), 1. Team spirit being very good 2. That I agree we tend to 'turn up' against the 'big' teams! Keep the faith!
Clever Fox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 If we sign a quality midfielder who can thread a ball through then I think we'll be ok and stay up. The Team are getting better in that we're not conceding much. We just need to improve the quality of our play in the final third. We also need Ulloa to play as a center forward and be there in the box. Especially as we have Kramaric who looked decent in his cameo last Saturday.
Buce Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 We have a superb manager, who is second to none. We are oozing with confidence. We have the right players, to push up into the top ten, As you can see, we shouldn't be worrying. Because NP and the team will want to give a massive 'fvck you' to so-called 'fans' like this, who seem to take more pleasure in us struggling than they do us succeeding.
