DennisNedry Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 I don't think I've ever seen a player (for us or otherwise) who is as noticeably slow as Matthew Upson.
Jam Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 yeah gotta be Mark deVries for me and for a big man he hardly ever won anything in the air. Basicaaly he just wasn't very good.
Corky Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Dean Hammond plays in slow motion. Moves, passes, runs, all at a snail's pace.
ealingfox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Think Upson would probably nail Kevin Pressman in a 100m sprint.
desertfox2 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 yeah gotta be Mark deVries for me and for a big man he hardly ever won anything in the air. Basicaaly he just wasn't very good. Apart from that FA cup game against Spurs ironically. The only good game I remember him having but that day he destroyed spurs
The Doctor Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Deep Freeze was great. So slow, so useless in the air to the point that i reckon Hume, a foot shorter, could have won an aerial battle between them. As an outside shot - Momo Sylla - his feet moved ridiculously quick and yet covered no ground what so ever.
Jaspa Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Andy Johnson we got off of West Brom has to be . . . . back there
Jam Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Apart from that FA cup game against Spurs ironically. The only good game I remember him having but that day he destroyed spurs Yep remember watching that on TV and going mad when he bagged. Of all the people to score! Did think we were doomed when paul stalteri (sp) scored first. iirc
lgfualol Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 It's like asking any person over 40 to run as fast as they can, most couldn't do it.
DB11 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 yeah gotta be Mark deVries for me and for a big man he hardly ever won anything in the air. Basicaaly he just wasn't very good. What about when we beat Spurs in the FA Cup? I was delirious after that
Monsell1976 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Don't know about slowest, but it's joke he replaced big was
m4DD0gg Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Um he is 35, not played top flight football for god knows how long and has spent the last at least 6 months on the sidelines. Even then he is a million times the defender that calamity is.
Tuna Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Martin Keown when we signed him, he must have been about 38!
sylofox Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Martin Henderson looked like a cart hoarse and ran like he was pulling 4 carts. Infact a cart hoarse with 2 broken legs would run faster. The only think ever to run slower than him is any hoarse I pick for the grand national.
Orange seat Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Brian Carey was ridiculously slow. Was almost painful to watch him try and catch a striker up.
