How much has zlatan been banded around for lately over £20.000.000 or something hes knocking on 33-34 he currently plays in a poor league so can score if hencame to the prem i personally think he will struggle to get upto 15 goals ... So if we get okazaki for 7-8 million no matter how many goals he scores the goals are important in the bigger picture. We aint in theposition to buy these young wonderkids and sell on for a profit

Think we will move forward with 5 strikers to suit all formations/styles of play and to provide cover. Strengthening of the strike force this summer will be done in the form of Wood out, Okazaki in I reckon. We have to look for real strength in depth now to progress.

Nugent needs to be playing in the hole behind the 2 strikers and vardy can be used on the wing to good affect.

Nugent will probably become the fringe striker (presuming this guy is good). Playing the Wood role last year and being there if we need him, perhaps going out on loan at Christmas etc.
Mikey Posted 26 June 2015 Posted 26 June 2015 Sounds like he's a bit of a mixture of Ulloa and Vardy - which is no bad thing! A strike force of those 4 (with Kram) is enough to give any defence in this league problems! Means Nugent can act as cover for the 'hole' - which is a good thing and he probably doesn't acore enough goals in the prem to be an out and out striker. The sell-on value really shouldn't matter to us in my opinion. We already have one striker with potential sell on value - and while I think Kram will still turn out to be worth the money over the next couple of years - we need people to keep us in this league and if Nige and his team thinks he will then get him in!

They've got Beckford and he's been very influential for them last season. Doubt Preston would want to break up that success model with an inclusion of Nugent. Although, who knows - maybe a loan option with him pairing up with Beckford up front would help them even further?
