How many fights have you won against ninjas? And how far do you think you could get on takeshi's castle?

Apology accepted.

Would probably fall off at the 'bridge point', after being hit in the balls.

Big black balls bouncing off your bottom?

what do..... actually I don't wanna know

To knock them off the bridge they would fire black footballs at them and that's a phrase Craig Charles would always say...

I've not seen anything in his goalscoring record to excite me at any if his clubs, at 29 the re-sale value would be nil, plus he may not adjust to this level I just feel we can do better and get a top quality striker rather than another player of similar value to what we already have. Its too much money for a player of his age.

Obviously no one noticed Mainz recently sign his replacement then Yoshinori Muto , which may of signified a Shinzi exit I thought at the time

They also brought in a second striker from Germany.

The guy will win fans over quickly as he is a workhorse and will totally fit with our team ethic.

It's like people can't remember signing Beckford or Neilson or even Chris Wood. What on earth does any Leicester fan have to grumble about?! Seriously, we're in ****ing dreamland. Cheer the **** up and jump on the party bus.

I know!! Fook me I remember signing Junior lewis and bleedin Zeljko kalac  and being excited!!... on a rather short term basis - on a very very short term basis

Thing is, someone of his ability who was say, 22, would cost a shed load more to start with. Resale value is nice, but you pay a premium for younger players for what they may potentially then into.

Why are we so concerned about resale value? In today's market it's not a lot of money & if he scores or creates a few goals then he has repaid his transfer fee.

I do love the we can do better comments not just on this player but others we have been linked with.

So can someone that has said we can do better about any player we have been linked with please explain what they mean.

ie better for the so called offer or just bring in better players at a higher price?

I'm by no means a BILD fan (because it's one of the worst tabloids in Germany), but there's some truth in the criticism of Okazaki's asking price. 10 million Euro is a lot of money for a 29-year old striker out of contract in twelve month's time - given the fact that Mainz once bought him for less than two million not so long ago. I wouldn't want to object to his knack for scoring goals, but I still believe we'd be paying over the odds here.

He joined them having been played on the wing at Stuttgart with no proof he could score goals in European football didn't he? He's got double figures two seasons in a row in the Bundesliga since then. Regardless of age the price is going to have gone up quite a bit. Even if we're slightly overpaying (and I'm not sure we are) he's no more risky than Ulloa was and he's proved to be worth it on last season alone.

We are on the brink of signing Japan's 3rd all time highest goalscorer and some people are questioning if he is good enough? Jesus wept!

Robin,

Having seen a lot of him at international level when Japan plays Australia, and that is a lot, he is a shinning light of their team.  He is a very difficult striker to defend and works much like Vardy.  He is bigger than Vardy also.  So Would be a good addition to the strike force.  Ulloa, Okazaki, Vardy, Nugent and Krameric and Wood is a more than adequate attacking group.  He plays physical and is strong and would be more than up for the PL.

I say to those thinking 1, he is to old and 2, that it is not good value, just think back to how the club got slated for paying a club record 8 mil for Ulloa, a mere Championship 28 year old striker!!  That investment hasn't turned out to bad, or how about a mil for a non league 26 year old striker, who has now has played for England and is worth 15 mil.

I think our management have a pretty good track record on these things.
