Vlad the Fox Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 The rules have changed. Something about it not being all about last seasons losses but the previous three seasons. Essentially you get two years of shit or bust and one of belt tightening. It's something like that anyway, probably be different again next year. So the rule change could allow to happen exactly what FFP was brought in to stop.
Dan Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 I reckon Derby will miss out via the play-offs again. Still think Middlesbrough will click and win the league.
MC Prussian Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Only in parts directly related to this thread, but this Forest fan's journey's made my day: Reiss Stenson thought he'd be partaking in a great away day experience and made a journey all the way to Cardiff City's ground in late August to follow his home team. Sad part about the story is that he completely forgot that Forest were due a home game that day - so he had to travel all the way back to Nottingham the same day to see his club lose 2-1. http://www.nottinghampost.com/Fan-scores-goal-travels-wrong-ground-Forest-match/story-27704718-detail/story.html
Wymsey Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Hope Cardiff and Birmingham mix it up and reach top 6. Their fans had a lot to contend with their controversial owners in past season or so.
Dan Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Cardiff can do one. Birmingham I wouldn't mind seeing do well. I reckon Birmingham will come above Sheffield Wednesday.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 I've never really cared about Derby, but I do hope they completely bottle this. 20 mill is ****ing ludicrous spending for a championship club.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Cardiff can do one. Birmingham I wouldn't mind seeing do well. I reckon Birmingham will come above Sheffield Wednesday. From a Wednesday supporting mate of mine: He was disappointed not to see Rhodes or McCormack come in, seriously lacking firepower up front and have been for a season or two. Major hold back in their attempts to get promoted as they have some decent Championship players like Lees, McGugan, Wallace, Westwood etc. Made some good signings, most notably Matias and just needed that extra firepower. Thinks they may be in for Hooper on loan or Kermit! Birmingham are much the same I think, can't see Donaldson scoring enough to get them up, then you're looking towards your midfield.. Gray? Cotterill? Not sure who else they have but they might chip in with a few, think they might scrape the playoffs.
MC Prussian Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 After 22 years in the business, Kevin Davies has now officially retired:
J.Lisemore Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Jutkiewicz suffers apparent long-term knee injury. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34129260 Feel quite sorry for Dyche, as that's the FIFTH player to have suffered this type of injury... 0 goals in 32 goals, some record that for a striker. Him and Sordell are 2 horrific signings by Dyche.
RedHux Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Right, Forest have announced the loan signings of; Nelson Olivier, Ryan Mendes and we're awaiting clearance for Jonathan Williams.
Corky Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Right, Forest have announced the loan signings of; Nelson Olivier, Ryan Mendes and we're awaiting clearance for Jonathan Williams. The guy from Swansea? Played quite well as a lone striker last season for the Swans in their 2-0 loss at the Way.
RedHux Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 That's the chap. Not sure how we've wangled it all things considered.
Soar Fox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 The guy from Swansea? Played quite well as a lone striker last season for the Swans in their 2-0 loss at the Way. Is he the striker who could have gone down from a Huth challenge but stayed on his feet?
StanSP Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Is he the striker who could have gone down from a Huth challenge but stayed on his feet? yep. Kasper saved well with his feet.
ealingfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Damn, they'll probably stay up now. How are they allowed to sign players?
Tinman Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Damn, they'll probably stay up now. How are they allowed to sign players? Brown paper bags been distributed under tables
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Forest must be well looking forward to that lucrative 14th spot in the Championship.
Guest Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Brown paper bags been distributed under tables They've bought bags and tables too????
Grantham Fox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Damn, they'll probably stay up now. How are they allowed to sign players? Think I read somewhere Blackburn had to sell a player (Rhodes) for x amount to be able to buy again. Maybe the same with Forest with Antonio? If not I'll be interested to see how.
Vlad the Fox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 They've bought bags and tables too???? The tables failed the medical eyesight test however... They had glasses on.
RedHux Posted 7 September 2015 Posted 7 September 2015 Damn, they'll probably stay up now. How are they allowed to sign players? tis the magic of the loan system. We are only allowed so many first team players and anyone we bring in must not be paid (by us) more then 75% of the wages the outgoing player was on....I think. Which essentially means, we get to give game time to other teams crocks until we either break them (most likely) or they get good and go back.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Looks like Livermore is getting away with it, apparently it's alright to take a class A drug aslong as your child has died
The Blur Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Hope Cardiff and Birmingham mix it up and reach top 6. Their fans had a lot to contend with their controversial owners in past season or so. I have some sympathies for them but I would not be too enthused to see them back in PL- I would prefer teams that have never been in PL.
Darkon84 Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Looks like Livermore is getting away with it, apparently it's alright to take a class A drug aslong as your child has died Wow, so edgy. I'm not excusing what he did, but God knows what place his head was at after such a terrible thing.
