Jimothy Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 They've won one home game since Christmas. Spurs ought to be firm favourites. Still; come on Chelsea! Draw will do.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Burnley 5000-1 with SkyBet to win the league next year. Newcastle currently 1000-1. I might end up putting a stray £10 on that.
ARTY_FOX Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 hence my question Who do we want? Oh missed that! Middlesbrough for me. Get nugent back in the prem!
Great Boos Up Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Charlie Austin has scored 1 goal for Southampton in 6 appearances, since January. Only started 2 games and so many people on here were moaning we didn't go in for him. But we did go in for him. Just didn't offer the stupid £15 mill QPR wanted
purpleronnie Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 But he could have been great for us, who knows? Plenty of players fail at one club then are great at another, you know like Kane.
PhillippaT Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 Oh missed that! Middlesbrough for me. Get nugent back in the prem! So we're all confirming that Nuge@KP/Prem is better than Knocky@KP/Prem and Ulloa@@Brighton then? Ok
ARTY_FOX Posted 2 May 2016 Posted 2 May 2016 So we're all confirming that Nuge@KP/Prem is better than Knocky@KP/Prem and Ulloa@@Brighton then? Ok I forgot about the ulloa connection! So that's guaranteed to be Atleast 1-1
trabuch Posted 3 May 2016 Posted 3 May 2016 Brighton all day. Nuge got a very good run out of us. Knocky deserves a bit more.
FireFox Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Bournemouth fined for breaking FFP http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36189779
Grewks Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Bournemouth fined for breaking FFP http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36189779 £30.4 million for staff wages? Has Redknapp been back down there advising their owner about 'investing in Monaco'? If they paid every fan £100 a game to 'self-steward', they would still be £10 million short of that. Edit: Just realised that obviously includes 'playing staff'. But still, if £25 million of that was for players, a squad of 30 would average over 17k each, crazy. And apparently we 'bought our way out of it'.
Koke Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 The paper's are saying Dembele is looking at a 10 game ban for gauging the eye of Costa. I hope they also come down hard on Dier and the others for behaving like thugs.
Wymsey Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Been quite a crazy season. Based on that we've finished above the biggest spenders in the league, and also considering where Newcastle are currently (who also spent a lot), just shows that scouting and recruitment (buying players that will all fight for the shirt). But think next season will be even more competitive - The likes of Everton, Stoke and Southampton aren't too far away from reaching a higher level; just a few more quality signings and they have a chance of improving from their position this season.
StanSP Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 The paper's are saying Dembele is looking at a 10 game ban for gauging the eye of Costa. I hope they also come down hard on Dier and the others for behaving like thugs. I hope so too. However Dier's unlikely to face action due to the referee taking action at the time. Lamela and Dembele, possibly Rose and Vorm for the aftermath fracas, are the most likely to get punished.
tom27111 Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Chelsea and Spurs both charged on various accounts of failing to control their players. Dembele charged with improper conduct where a standard 3 game ban is insufficient. Story breaking now, more to follow according to various news sites.
StanSP Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 can't believe some Spurs fans are advocating for Dembele's and other Spurs players' behaviour on Monday. Some of the tackles were disgusting. I get there was the pressure and it got heated. Spurs fans would be livid and raging if they were on the receiving end of so much shit from another team. Especially when they themselves accused us of cheating and getting away with so much 'foul play'.
Guest Manini Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 What did Chelsea actually do wrong? Fair enough they get a lot of deserved stick for their theatrics usually but I'm struggling to see what they actually did on Monday night? Spurs absolutely capitulated and lost their heads, how they kept 11 men on the field (12 at one point!! For **** sake how is the manager allowed to run on the pitch?!) is beyond me.
ajthefox Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36200989 I wish Vaz would fvck off and crawl into hole somewhere.
theessexfox Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 One thing I never quite worked out about that Spurs match, lost in the euphoria of winning the league - how on earth did Dier stay on the pitch? Last minute of the game, he wipes out Fabregas, I was thinking arguably a red card tackle but he'll get a second yellow, Mason then gets booked for another tackle on the pitch then nothing else happens??? Arguably the worst decision I've ever seen. here are the tackles

I don't even mind them glorifying it, I just think it's funny and again exposes them for the embarrassing hypocrites they are. You can't glorify what they were doing the other night and say a single word about how we play.

You can't glorify what they were doing the other night and say a single word about how we play. Spurs are expert tactical foulers, they just were more blatant about it on Monday.
Webbo Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Looks like everyone but dembele is getting away with it If the ref sees it the FA can't do anything about it.
Richard Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Those Dier tackles could easily have been 2 separate straight reds. And then look what Vardy, Drinkwater and Simpson got sent off for... 2 'fouls' = sending off. Seriously I don't mind if they get a big decision wrong every now and again but please just have some ****ing consistency in what constitutes a yellow card/2nd yellow card
Systonfox74 Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 I don't know how Spurs didn't finish the game with 9 men on Monday night, those tackles were x-rated. I think charging Chelsea as well is a tad harsh, but as already mentioned several times the refereeing is to inconsistent across all games. The FA need to get a grip with the state of refereeing and sort it out for the start of the new season.
