I mean just this season alone...we've had de laet/simpson/albrighton at right back. Constantly tinkering with mahrez/knocky/dyer/schlupp at left mid as well. Konchesky was a 'Very good' Left back. Defensively, before huth arrived, he was probably our best 'defend'er.
shailen Posted 4 June 2015 Posted 4 June 2015 I don't think I could name a better LB we have had in the last 10 years. As much as Bruno Berner was a favourite, I think Konchesky was a better footballer and given his age he has been found out in the PL. He was good the first few years for us.

He's won the Championship with us and contributed his part this season for us to maintain Premiership football. I'd like another year on his contract and have him act as cover for injuries. People need to stop calling him shit because he certainly wasn't. He had the odd dodgy moment, but he has also been consistently solid for us. He rarely dropped below a 7/10 before this season just gone. Show a bit of respect.

And was steady enough in our promotion season, if you think he has been utterly dreadful, shudder to think what you think of some of the other players we've had in the last 10 years.
