Wymsey Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 With both described by many as the 'best in the modern world'/'best players ever, would you prefer if you had to choose between them both?
Charl91 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Messi, by a big margin. Best goal scorer and play maker in the world.
Dan Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Messi. He's nearly as good a goalscorer and he's far more creative too. Ronaldo is terrific but Messi's just outrageous.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Ronaldo practically carried an average United side (compared to some United sides and the Barca side Messi has always been a part of, before people throw in the decent players in the team etc to call me out on it) for a few years to trophies, Messi has been surrounded by arguably the greatest team in the modern era for the entirety of his career. Something that has always weighed heavily on my decision in this.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Ronaldo could fit into any side and still score goals. Messi needs the team built around him.
benpicko Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Messi and it's not close, and I'm surprised people are saying that currently Ronaldo could fit into any team and still score goals yet Messi couldn't. How many times has Messi absolutely ripped apart another team and either created an easy chance for another player or scored himself, compared to Ronaldo who gets criticised a lot at the moment for only scoring tap-ins, penalties, and headers?
Stadt Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I think Messi is the better player but I'd rather have Ronaldo, I think Ronaldo would score goals with just about anyone supplying him because physically and aerially he's ridiculous
ScouseFox Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 end of the day id rather be mates with ronaldo he looks more of a laugh and as long as we have fun results don't really matter
Dan Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 People go on like Ronaldo's playing alongside Glenn Whelan and Lee Cattermole.
MC Prussian Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 I'd go with Gareth Bale, two to five years Messi's and/or Ronaldo's junior. Still bags of potential. There you have it.
Captain... Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 Messi, only to encourage his compatriot Cambiasso to stay.
