Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Would anyone consider Gary Neville. Always been impressed with his knowledge and analysis and has the fire in his belly to become a top manager. If not him, Laudrup is a good choice too. Without a doubt, but I'm not sure he has management aspirations.

My Nads Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Anyone but Dyche or Allardyce. Anyone? Are you sure about that? There are much much worse choices than those two. Colin, Arry...etc
matty98 Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 will not be at all happy with Allardyce, all he will ever be is mid table and when he eventually leaves the club tends to get relegated, it's just a lose lose situation with him in my opinion
WardyisPukka Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Anyone suggesting Klopp is off their heads - not a bloody chance Laudrup is the only realistic candidate if we want to keep progressing Others (i.e Redknapp, Allardyce are a step or two backwards)

Tuna Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Sam Allardyce, safe pair of hands virtually guaranteed survival but I'd rather have Pearson but there you go.

ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Yeah just what we need in a situation like this. Somebody with zero management experience. 'In a situation like this' not too much of a 'situation' in truth, managers get sacked at all clubs. everything is in place for the next manager imo
shailen Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Without a doubt, but I'm not sure he has management aspirations. Fair point, but he is a coach for England so I'm assuming he'd want to take the plunge into management one day. Yeah just what we need in a situation like this. Somebody with zero management experience. Pearson was relatively unknown before he came to us. A good manager is a good manager, regardless of experience imo. Guest ttfn Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Pretty confident any remotely eloquent footballer could do what Neville does. He was the first regular pundit since Andy Gray left SKY to get a full weekend to reflect on and analyse fixtures. Both were seen as revolutionary and ahead of their time when in actual fact they both simply had more time than their counterparts. Look at Carragher - he looks and sounds like he can barely tie his own shoelaces but give him, a former professional footballer, 2 days to think about a game sometimes he comes out with something interesting to say. I give Andy Townsend a hard time (because he's totally asinine) but Neville isn't much better as a co-commentator.* A manager needs to be able to react to things in real time - you don't get 2 days to think about a substitution. *Ok that's not fair but there's still a massive difference in quality between what Neville says in real time and what he comes out with 2 days later. 4everfox Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 Anyone for Jimmy Floyd H? Last time we went for a manager from the lower leagues whilst as a top flight club was the inception of the worst decade of football in the clubs history. No thanks. Far Post Gerry Posted 30 June 2015 Share Posted 30 June 2015 I'd quite like Gary Rowatt. It won't be him, it'll be someone the owners think is more glamorous, but I reckon he'd be good.
