Fox 4 Life Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 If Hiddink came it would be a huge sign of intent but it would worry me he would have no clue about any of our players so it would take months to find his best team, last season all over again! Bagworthblue Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 If that was the case then I'd hope Hiddink would appoint Cambiasso as his assistant. And so Cambiasso could learn a few things and could be prepared to take over the reigns after he leaves. They could offer Hiddink a year deal of an option of a second, it may not be long but with short notice of the new season I'd rather have a manager in by next week rather than waiting till mid August. actually ive checked again and his win % is pretty good to be fair - just his nomadic like existance that's a concern - Hiddink and Cambiasso whilst taking his badges sounds good to me. Great all decided, who is gonna ring JR :-)
midland_red Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 i know. this is why i didnt go into journalism. i couldn't write an article like that just to stir up rumour. i like to work with facts. Sadly that is how newspapers work (I used to work on one).Sports editor asks for story on succession. Reporter can't find anyone with an inside track. With newspapers now so understaffed he may never have had the time to spend out of the office building his contacts and acquiring their trust. But he has to deliver the piece so he cobbles it together from Internet rumours.....
ramboacdc Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 Then you'd better stop reading threads about who our manager will be if i was to do that then work would be slooow!

Costock_Fox Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 I think its great news replacing a manager because he is maybe a little bit crazy by one who once tried to kill an opposition manager on the touch line. Top work.

Freesolo Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 Lets pick a manager because he used to play for us 15 year ago, great thinking there. That's literally the only reason he is in the running, what a complete **** up if he gets the job
Bagworthblue Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 Lennon too great a risk - It won't be him (not on his own) God my mate at Bolton is praying it's Lennon so they may have a chance to get Pearson! What does that tell you!!!

Gerard Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 In the know, Neil Lennon will be approached by Leicester in the next few days. Still odds against on Betfair which suggest nobody knows anything yet. His price hasn't moved for hours.
Kitchandro Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 Surely it won't be Lennon. It would just make no sense at all. I'm not resigned to that just yet.

The Doctor Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 he was joking but serious - why unrealistic? Because Pearson could do better than Bolton presumably, there's a good premiership job he'd work well in opened up a couple of days back... Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 2 July 2015 Share Posted 2 July 2015 Now we're talking. He certainly has had a great career, but would appointing an almost 70 year old show future planning. Can't imagine him doing more than 2 seasons. What I want is a manager who is going to develop us slowly and be here for the long haul, which looked like it was going to be Pearson until Tuesday afternoon.
