brisfox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Now that Nigel has gone, what do you think of The Great One returning? I thought something was going on on Saturday. Nigel and Shakey's cars were parked up on their own outside the KP Stadium next to each other. It didn't look right and I wondered at the time what was going on.Now we know.
Charl91 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 You're right, Nigel parking in a slightly different spot certainly means that O'Neill is coming back. Good spot!
Finnaldo Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Unlikely in my eyes and potential to ruin his already great legacy, not now
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I'm not sure, cant see him having the same impact
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 If we can go in time back ten years and take him and John Robertson back to the future then yes.
Corky Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 He was brilliant for us a long time ago. The game has moved on and O'Neill looked bereft of enthusiasm and ideas at Sunderland. He's now in a fairly comfortable job in international football. We really need to stop discussing him every time we have a managerial change or bad result. He's not coming back.
justfoxes Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Confusious says 'NEVER PISS IN THE SAME POT TWICE!! !!
Tielemans63 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 If he brings Robertson and Walford with him then yes but that won't happen so absolutely not.
Blue army boys Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Would O'Neil even be interested? I don't think so.
LanguedocFox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Thinking about it... NO. Not thinking about it... NOOOOOOOO
iancognito Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 And stop the clock - it took an hour and 20 minutes for someone to suggest it.

Whilst he will be remembered as a great manager for us, he was very quick to jump and go to Villa, putting our club into the wilderness for 11 years. He is now past it, a footballing dinosaur, we need someone who embraces the sports sience aspect of the modern game, I dont think mon is that person. I dont think allardyce is a long term optioo either, lennon is totally un proven, redknapp is a total joke, I think he lost it when he wasn't given the england gig. I dont know what will happen now, but it is a huge appointment the owners have to make, it better be someon special. If its dyche, well....
Leicesterpool Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Would love him to come back, but It would be unlikely.
Guest Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 No thanks. His time has gone now. An absolute legend but don't think he would cut it now and I don't want his time here before sullied by a failed return.
Tuna Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 MON is a manager whose career is on the wane and his time is over and would be a dreadful appointment, lets let the memories remain as they are.
urban.spaceman Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 How the bloody hell did it take over an hour for this thread to be made?!?!!
