Surely if you're our owners, you contact most out of work managers and see who is interested. How do you know who is out of your reach unless you stretch? What's the worst that happens? The fact he went to Wimbledon without a ticket (got a last minute ticket from Mr Brown) suggests he wasn't in this country to watch tennis. Maybe we have popped the question - and from Klopp's point of view it would be a risk to wait for a job that hasn't become available because there is no guarantee it would or even if a job did open up in the top 6 is he guaranteed to get it? Spurs' / Liverpool's board (the two main big ones that I could see becoming available first - reckon Man City would look elsewhere) may have other ideas than Klopp. Of the rest, of the Premier League, we're not that far away from the likes of Newcastle / West Ham who may have overlooked him (budget reasons possibly?). I'm certainly hopeful that we'll see him as a worthy candidate to have a discussion with.

Liverpool have just hired O'driscoll as an assistant manager. I doubt they'd be hiring new backroom staff if they were planning on sacking the main man anytime soon.
