RizLCFC Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I DO think we should approach him but I know it won't happen. There's no point discussing it in too much detail and getting over excited, because all it'll result in is a very deep underwhelming feeling when the new manager is announced. We can dream, but that's it!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Klopp is the one and only manager who's been named/linked that actually gets me excited. It'd be a fantastic coup
MPH Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 My heart says no chance.... But my head says it was a coup in getting a player like cambiasso so why not a coup in getting a talented manager?
Carlos88LCFC Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 It's very unlikely but it's not impossible. He doesn't want to join a club where the pressure is going to be immense as it seems he doesn't want to be seen as a failure. Avoiding the relegation battle has to be our target this year now we have changed manager. I think under Klopp it will be easily achieved! Liverpools expectations are too high... They want to be challenging for top 4 but they are signing players like Danny Ings, James Milner... Man City are signing players like Pogba, De Bruyne... United are signing players like Ramos... Arsenal have just got Cech... Chelsea already have an immense side... Liverpool is not an attractive job to be taking!
st albans fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Of course we will approach his agent. Then we will sadly place a line through his name and nevile's list will be one name shorter.

We can dream, but that's it! I'm of the same feeling on this one. It would be great I it did happen, but realistically its a pipe dream. Jürgen Klopp operates in the similar way to Pearson, but on a much bigger and more successful level. On paper he fits the bill that we are looking for. In reality, he's put of our reach unfortunately
SystonFox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Imagine if we got Klopp though. The amount of spunk banded on here would be catastrophic. Nigel who? Won't happen sadly. I can see it being Hiddink or Big Sam mesen.
Sunbury Fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Think Klopp is holding out for a better job. By all accounts he passed up the West Ham job, which on the face of it is a better bet than ours - in London at a club due to move into a 50k+ stadium. But I still can't help hoping it could happen!
FrankieADZ Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 would love him to come here, but i cant see it tbh certainly would be a good platform for him to show what he could do in the league tho.
Thracian Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 On what basis is the West Ham job better than ours?. Our prospects and ambition are as good as our owners choose to make them. We've got a good ground with room for expansion, a good team, a damned good fan base and more to be tapped if we do the job right. Leicester's situation is so under-rated. People forget it's one of the biggest cities in England and brilliantly located. There's no opposition going south all the way to London - or going east all the way to Norwich. Even our traditional rivals are having a torrid time in the main. And Klopp would lend his name to some brilliant songs to boost the atmosphere!

I think our owners are prepared to invest more than gold/Sullivan (who may be preparing to sell in a couple years anyway) West Ham have a bigger fanbase and are in London. We should be able to be as attractive a prospect in footballing terms though, if we are really prepared to expand the stadium capacity.
Blanesta Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I bet Mr Klopp has never even uttered the word Leicester, let alone planned to manage us!
Carlos88LCFC Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Sean O'Driscoll has joined Liverpool as assistant manager along side Brendan. Guess that's ruled out Liverpool in the immediate future....
justfoxes Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Would be a top move for us only thing tho was how long would he stay for 1-2 seasons then it's back to the drawing board !
indierich06 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Can't believe people think this is a genuine possibility. If this was Newcastle, Sunderland, or Villa board talking about getting Klopp, we'd be absolutely pissing ourselves over how ludicrous they sounded.
Simmsy Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 What a tease of a thread title, I assumed there was news of an approach or something!
Brenfox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Unlikely as it is the owners would be foolish to not ask the question.

If this was Newcastle, Sunderland, or Villa board talking about getting Klopp, we'd be absolutely pissing ourselves over how ludicrous they sounded. It's not very likely at all, everyone knows that. There are 50/60 teams ahead of us in the list he'd probably favour joining.... BUT... it really depends on what the owners plans are and how ambitious they are. If they really want Europe and are prepared to fund that, then money can make the impossible, possible.
Ashley Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Can't believe people think this is a genuine possibility. The owners want European football for a start so approaching Mr Klopp would be showing ambition. Two. Money - It talks.
