mancunianfox Posted 17 August 2018 Posted 17 August 2018 Someone mentioned Dany N'Guessan in another thread. Can't believe he had 31 appearances for us.
SuperMike Posted 17 August 2018 Posted 17 August 2018 Anyone remember Mark Davies (loan player??). Only saw him a couple of times and he seemed to dominate midfield. Some player. Really arrogant, though. Said he was too good for Leicester - so he joined a 'bigger' club - Bolton !! Wonder if he's still playing?

MC Prussian Posted 17 August 2018 Posted 17 August 2018 Too many to mention - reads like a horror show for most part. Looking back, what a freak show - newer fans will want to keep in mind what it meant to support the club with some of these names on the pitch: Zoumana Bakayogo Cian Bolger Rufus Brevett Alex Bruce Jeffrey Bruma Peter Canero Franz Carr Jamie Clapham Stephen Clemence (unfortunate with injuries) Richard Cresswell Chris Cunningham (leg break) Joe Dodoo (all the praise...) Kelvin Etuhu Gelson Fernandes Steffen Freund (only choking) Patrik Gerrbrand Kerrea Gilbert Luigi Glombard Joe Hamill Lee Hendrie Geoff Horsfield (all hail the horse...) Andy Johnson Billy Kee (still going strong, albeit in lower leagues) Darren Kenton Cédric Kipré (albeit only on youth level) Radostin Kishishev Chris Makin Sam McMahon Ben Mee Ignasi Miquel Nicky Mohan Stefan Moore Moreno Franck Moussa Robbie Neilson Shaun Newton Bruno N'Gotty Dany N'Guessan Eric Odhiambo John Paintsil Lee Peltier Ricky Sappleton Riccardo Scimeca Alie Sesay Ryan Smith (remember the hype?) Nolberto Solano Jay Spearing Mohammed Sylla Aman Verma Miguel Vitor (Scunthorpe away...) Zak Whitbread Goalkeepers one tends to forget: Tony Warner David Stockdale Paul Henderson Martön Fülöp RIP Mark Bunn Stuart Taylor Kevin Pressman Rab Douglas Lars Hirschfeld Jimmy Nielsen

I think you meant to say "goalkeepers you wish you could forget" - with the exception of Martin Fulop who I thought was fantastic for us

I was 13 at the time and was just marveling at the players we bought in Ferdinand Bent Howey Curtis Nalis - Signing someone from Chievo was very exciting for me back then Brooker Coyne Thatcher Hignett (And the rest) All these players for free, either from 'bigger' teams or Division 1 sides and their highly rated players (Brooker, Coyne.) It was a huge overhaul and at the time I looked on in wonder. Then January came and we added Dabizas, Guppy and Freund. It felt like we had a brilliantly experienced team and would find a way to stay up. Little old Leicester with not a penny to their name, free transferring their way to survival. Always wonder what might have happened had we survived that season. I love my childhood Leicester memories of that 2002-2004 era (mostly).

Terrifyingly, I went to bed thinking of N'Guessan the other night and have no idea why. I was actually quite excited when he signed: pacy, interesting, unpredictable. Turns out the latter was a bit too prevalent in the end.

Nalis's left footed volley against Leeds: I must have tried that every Sunday for the next 2 years.
