KFS Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Again the negativity. Just wow!!! Curious what makes you think we'll lose? Would be typical Leicester to lose this!
Donut Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 The confidence in the squad is absolutely oozing right now, competiton for places and players bang in form. None of this tough place to go nonsense, we should be targeting Bournemouth for 3 points, and i reckon we will edge them out and win the game.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Ehhhhhhhh... Bonmas 1 - 4 Restaa.
benpicko Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 We won't keep a clean sheet and they'll dominate possession but we'll win
Donut Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 We won't keep a clean sheet and they'll dominate possession but we'll win Possession stats dont mean much when youre a direct team like we are. Arsenal dominate possession and can look abjectly limp with it at times.
kingfox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 They didn't score in their first two games, all goals against West Ham were gifts due to abysmal defending. As long as we don't gift Gradel & Kermorgant a goal, then I believe we will edge a win. Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Albrighton Inler King Mahrez Okazaki Vardy Subs - Schwarzer, Wasilewski, Fuchs, Drinkwater, Kante, Dodoo, Kramaric
Benguin Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Does anyone think Dodoo will get a run in? I know it's the cup against Bury, but a hatrick on his debut speaks volumes for his potential. Could be a great opportunity although I can't see him starting with Albrighton and Mahrez's form. Would be good to see him on the bench though
Big_Nige Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Kasper De Laet Huth Wes Schlupp Mahrez Inler Kante Albrighton Kram Vardy Bench: Schwarzenegger Fuchs Was King Dodoo Ulloa Okazaki You'd drop Drinkwater from the squad? Harsh.
ScouseFox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 cant see how anyone who watched tonight (ranieri included) can leave kante out again. not sure why he plays or what happens to our team though but he looked exciting and loveable in equal measure. if someone is to break the king/drinkwater partnership then based on tonight it's definitely him ahead of inler, at the mo at least.

This from what I gather.

Agree with the latter part. Inler in the first half looked amazing, excellent range of passing, very comfortable on the ball won it baxk often for us however fitness in the second half shown hence us bringing Kante inside and going to a 4-5-1 formation. Kante pace and acceleration is outstanding. Any dodgy touch and he recovers so quickly looks like a very good signing already.
Benguin Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 You'd drop Drinkwater from the squad? Harsh. Maybe, however Kante definitely deserves a start. This game will be high scoring and end to end stuff, I think we need an experienced midfield to control the game and calm it down. As we don't have Cambiasso I think Inler should do this. Out of King and drinksy for back up, I feel you've gotta pick based on how they're playing, drinksy has show some brief periods of class but I felt he was a huge liability vs Tottenham.

Grewks Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 against bournemouth it will be a 'championship' style game, a bit like burnley last season, with the exception that bournemouth are a better side. I don't think inler would be as suited to that than king or drinky....but i would throw kante in there. Ranieri has a headache, choosing 11 players is hard enough but choosing a system is even harder....personally i'd play 3-5-2/3-5-1-1. ............................Kasper ...........RDL..............huth..............wes ..marc......drinky.......king........kante.......schlupp ..............................mahrez ................................Vardy Bournemouth play possession, so we need legs and pace to counter. Also mahrez in the free role as his lack of defensive cover may cost us. Bench - benny, fuchs, inler, dodoo, kram, okazaki, schwartz
RedSoxUK Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Will be a much harder game than West Ham I reckon, and Tottenham - they won't be playing the 'West Ham way' of passing it round the back, or the Tottenham way of doing exactly the same just without any final third, and they won't be as leaky and lazy as Sunderland. I expect them to patch us completely and it will come down to set piece attacking and defending, marking up key players, Richie / Wilson tight - and individual performances a la Mahrez / Vardy. I don't think it will be a game where Okazaki excels tbh, but I think Vardy will have a field day. We need to be better in defence than we have been and they will score. So i'm going a tight 1 - 2, Gradel will end up scoring a blooter, our goals it doesn't matter as long as we create chances. Didn't see how Kante / Inler worked today but Kante didn't play as a CM, so it would be tricky starting him, same with Inler - same team as Tottenham, we use pace on the counter attack to kill them because they will leave gaps for us to explot. Bournemouth get a lot of possesion and I think we'll be under a lot of pressure this time, but; we should come out on top.
HitchinFox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Very confident for this. They will come at us - it's the only way they know. They were unlucky at Liverpool and I think the only reason they lost to Villa was their nerves (didn't take their chances), so it won't be easy, but I'm confident. I think Bournemouth might stay up, but I really wish the pundits would stop the anal loving they give "plucky Bournemouth". The club is bankrolled by a Russian billionaire and spent £17m on wages in 2013-14 – and even more than that last season when they got promoted (exact figures not available yet). To put that in context, "big spending Leicester" had a wage bill of around £19m the season we came up from the Championship. Also, their chair is the only one – alongside QPR's Tony Fernandes – to have complained about the Financial Fair Play rules. Tells you everything you need to know about the "fairy tale". The only thing small-time about that club is the stadium. Anyway - would like the Tinkerman to justify his name and introduce Inler or Kante to a 3-5-2 to with Schlupp and Albrighton as wing backs with Wes, Huth and Benalouane at the back. One of King/Drinkwater and (obviously) Mahrez in the middle. Vardy and Okazaki are clicking nicely so would keep them in. 1-2 Foxes!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 I genuinely think (not being a party pooper) that this will be our first loss of the season. I hope I'm wrong, of course, but Bournemouth at home are going to be a tricky side. Expect goals...lots of em I think. Got a horrible feeling you are right ColThat said I'm going to be slightly more optimistic and say 2-2 draw
Hack Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Does anyone think Dodoo will get a run in? I know it's the cup against Bury, but a hatrick on his debut speaks volumes for his potential. Could be a great opportunity although I can't see him starting with Albrighton and Mahrez's form. Would be good to see him on the bench though NO. I see this as potentially the hardest game so far. They are playing their hearts out and with a lot of adventure. Still think we will win due to their defensive frailties. 3-1 win.
Father Ted Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Back 4 picks itself again for me; RDL Wes Huth Jeff. Two wingers Albrighton and Riyad. Then the rest bar Vardy is up for debate. Following tonight I'd be tempted to get Kante involved. However, not sure if dropping Okazaki for an extra midfielder would become a bit negative and hinder us on the counter. Certainly be interesting to see how Ranieri sets up however wouldn't mind an unchanged side again with Dodoo on the bench.
MC Prussian Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 This screams for a classic 5-5 draw. Both teams fancy scoring, but the defences look rather shaky. Knowing that they've beaten West Ham 4-3 away makes me a bit more wary than I ought to be. Usually, you'd start belittling clubs like Bournemouth who remind me of Blackpool in many ways - not just because of the seaside connection. They're a club pushing beyond their regular means and boast a great young manager who's instilled a terrific fighting spirit with talented prospects, hampered by a chairman who's not willing to spend a lot of money (yet). Although I wouldn't want to compare Mostyn to Oyston (yet). The state of the pitch at Dean Court won't presumably help our passing style, so I wonder whether we'll go physical and opt for more long balls than usual. We need a bit of grit and Inler as well as Kanté could or maybe should make their full league debut on Saturday.
st albans fox Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Didn't sound like inler is ready for a full start just yet. The question is whether Claudio breaks up the Ak/DD partnership to include kante? Everything else will stay the same. Can't see him changing from 4 at the back. Because we no longer have to cover for esteban's lack of pace getting back, we can just about get away with two in the middle though I really would prefer to see us with three, especially away.
Merging Cultures Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 What I'd like: Kasper Was - Huth - Wes Albrighton - Kante - Drinky - Schlupp - Mahrez - Vardy - Kram Subs: Schwarzer, RDL, Moore, Inler, King, Okazaki, Ulloa What I think it will be: Kasper RDL - Wes - Huth - Schlupp Albrighton - Kante - King - Mahrez Vardy - Okazaki As has been said, this is going to be a tough game. I'm going for a 2-3 win to us. I think we have the fire power to score goals and the experience to hold on to leads. Plus the Italian defensive tactics.
Bryn Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Think this will be a really tough game. We've a right to be confident but so do they. We will have to defend better and create more chances than we did against Spurs to beat them.
