ScouseFox Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Kante simply has to come into centre midfield, he's been great in his PL cameos and was superb yesterday. It's a tough choice but I'd probably drop King for him, just think Drinkwater at his best offers more all round than him. Probably keep the rest of the XI the same. agreed. i love king but think that kante doing most the work and drinkwater keeping the ball/playing forward passes could be a better partnership than kante and king both doing a lot of work but perhaps offering slightly less going forward.
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 I don't know why i'm tempted for 3 in midfield for this but I am. I also don't know why but I think we'll be in for a battle and a possible defeat but I do. I remember that 1-0 away at their gaff in the Championship wining season they were very unlucky and even the 2-1 home win I thought we rode our luck and didn't deserve the win. Fair enough both squads are very different now but they will be pumped after winning at West Ham. The Gradel factor is almost inevitable too. I can see Inler and possibly Kante coming in for this but who for? If we are to play effective on the counter than you would want Okazaki, Mahrez and Vardy all in there but if you want 3 central midfielders in there as well then something doesn't compute. Therefore, over to you Don Claudio.
leicesterseddon Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Think he'll be tempted to stick with the same team to be honest. The only thing I'd look to do at the minute is possibly switch to 5 in midfield and bring in Kante/Inler to shore us up a bit more. We've played really well so far but I'm slightly worried by the fact we only had 30% possession at West Ham, and 35% possession against Spurs even though we were at home. I mean to some extent this might be expected because we've set ourselves up as a counter-attacking team, but I do wonder whether we'll ever keep a clean sheet when we allow opposition sides so much of the ball.
narboroughblue Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 This has the chance to be a real end to end encounter. I would like to see Kante come in but can't see how he can replace anyone but Drinkwater. We are already quite a small team when defending set pieces and to lose King who generally takes a big guy would make the job even harder. Wouldn't be surprised if we are unchanged though.
ARM1968 Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Kram didn't do much wrong last night so CR hauling him off after 60 suggests he might feature on Saturday. When the season started I saw this game and Sunderland as our main chance for early points. However Bournmouths performance against Liverpool and their win against Erst Ham make me think this will be a tough match. Hope I'm wrong and we win, but got a bad feeling.
biggs Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 1-3 to us and don't see what all the fuss is about. Fans are so used to us screwing things up they believe it is inevitable even when the signs are not there. Expecting a loss must be on fear of past screw-ups as it cannot be on our current performances and attitude. The way we reacted to the Spurs goal tells a story about who we are now.
trabuch Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 I love it that we have these selection problems now. 0-2 to us. First clean sheet of the season.
Spicer Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Kasper De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Mahrez Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Okazaki Vardy
Webbo Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Don't understand the pessimism, fairly confident we'll win this.
Ashley Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Can see us sitting back like Tottenham, we have more than enough quality to do them on the counter... All depends if Bournemouth have that little bit of quality to break us open.
gerrytaggart Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Gradel looked very good for them last weekend (based on highlights).
Ian S Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 I'd switch Inler with Drinky but otherwise the same. Based on what?
Bournemouth Blue Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 The atmosphere is nothing to be worried about, i've been to a few games down here. thou the excitement did rise at the end of last season naturally. Plus City fans will number 1300 i think (plus a few like me in the home end!) out of 13000 - so easy to match the, frankly very polite, locals... I'd expect 2-1 City with Kevin Phillips coming on to score a late winner in a wheelchair!!
fuchsntf Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 For me Inler would be first on the sheet..he's in the team to be a boss and a leader Schmeichel Huth Morgan Wassy Albrighton Inler King Schlupp Mahrez Okazaki Vardy Subs - Schwarzer, Ulloa, Fuchs, Drinkwater, Kante, Dodoo, Kramaric The quote on Inler totally agree, start him now, so he can pick up the rythm of the team and PL ASAP. whether he sees 90 minutes might be questioned. The individual fans will differ on complete team, but if Inler is to be the central figure, his adventure should start against Bournmouth, give him time to grow into the expectations
purpleronnie Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Call me a crazy mofo but I expect this to be our toughest game so far this season.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Call me a crazy mofo but I expect this to be our toughest game so far this season.I would call it educated Ronnie, it has all the hallmarks of a very very tough game, scrape a draw I think
NewquayFox Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Kante to make his full debut in this one I reckon, could start with a 5 man midfield leaving one of the strikers out, Bournemouth will be riding high but will always concede goals.... Up the City.......
Captain... Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 If Bournmouth were still winless then we would be exactly the sort of team that would give them that win, but as it stands they've come off a highly creditable win but on the back of very very generous defending. We shouldn't fear them and now we won't underestimate them, I expect us to win this an early goal and we can do it comfortably let them get into the game and we could be in trouble.
An Away Move Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Looking forward to this. Nothing to fear here, although they are certainly capable of turning us over. So they tore up the Championship last year? Not as dominantly as we did the season before them. Look how we've strengthened since. We're also less naive and more seasoned after the exploits of last year. They might be good at going forwards, but we are great on the break. Just need to finish the chances we get. 'Just'.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Should win this, which will probably see us lose. Bournemouth aren't to be underestimated.
psychonaut Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Kante and Kramaric in for Okazaki and King. We have quality in depth so lets use it. We can always bring shinji on to inject some energy into the front line when the game becomes stretched.
TJB-fox Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Hope we do what Stoke/West Brom did to us at our place last year. Really solid performance to grind out a gritty away win, nullifying their attack and nicking a scabby goal. I WANT A CLEAN SHEET!
