Mikey Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Sorry but you can't complain about him tonight. Absolutely unreal dribbling, ball control and passes. Ok the decision for the overhead kick could have been different but if that goes in then you're talking about that decades. People shout and scream when he's going past 4 people and it works, but when he tries something audacious and it doesn't work they moan. If you want a team full of of safe passers, go support ****ing West Brom.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Doubt he'll be getting a bollocking. Assist and how that ball across the box at the end didn't go in baffles me. In those circumstances he will be and at least won't be everyone's favourite in the dressing room this evening. You do realise what's at stake? If you are a professional in that situation you are fuming.
davieG Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 You can pick plenty of times when players go for goal and don't score where it's easy to say they should have passed it but there's very few occasions where that would have guaranteed a goal. We'd been crossing the ball into the box most of the night and WBA had through either good defending or luck cleared them all. Trying the overhead kicks is just the sort of move that might have caught them out and if it had done all he'll would have broken loose and people would have been praising Mahrez.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 one good thing... is this team doesn't hold grudges for mistakes... we win together and lose together..... no crybabies allowed. Ranieri and players have said as much during interviews during the season of the good rapport between all the squad.... even those who don't play like ilner are well liked. Mahrez made a couple of wrong decisions.... but he made a lot of good stuff and on another day we would have scored a few more. The attempts where we hit the bar might have gone in....we're talking about a few inches. Stay positive.... We are still in the lead and our performance filled me with delight for the upcoming fixture against watford - the desire to win was there until the end. wAtford is a different team and a different type of game.... I'm sure will suit our style much more. He will be our match winner in plenty of games to come.
Wilfred the fox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Not good enough tonight .Should of been subbed instead of Albrighton. Did you watch the right game tonight genius wtf
Gubbins Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 He was really on it tonight. Really we should have got him on the ball more than we did.
goose2010 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Thought he had his best game in the last couple, made one error of judgement but his assist for King was incredible, perfect weighted first touch allowed King to just stroke it in. The boys a genius and will let him off the odd mistake!

MattCan Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Looked threatening every time he got the ball tonight. My only criticism is that sometimes he thinks it's the Mahrez show. The late spectacular overhead kick attempt is a good example. I am imagining that, for a split second, he thought "I will try it and sera que sera". Just imagine if it hit the net ...
Phube Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 He also learnt from his mistake, just minutes later he cushioned a lovely header for Ulloa!
Lionheart10 Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 You can't deny his skill but I'm a bit worried that he seems to be showboating at times and I wonder if the Barcelona talk has got him thinking of a move.Just seems there are times when he thinks about himself and not laying the ball off for others.
Russell sprout Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 RIYAD WILL WIN US A GAME ON HIS OWN VERY SOON. I hope your right,he's lost us points in 2(villa and Bournemouth) Given away a daft free kick tonight which led to there equaliser, I like Riyad but he such a frustrating player, He like knockart, very selfish, sometimes it seems that it's all about him and not the team, Suppose the irony is he can be crap then pop up with the winner, and all is forgotten, If he thinks he's Barcelona class though he needs a wake up call,he perfectly suited playing for us
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 that assist :captainscarletcharacterfallsbackwardliketheolddaysofthetinderthread.gif:
Max Power Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Mahrez is playing the same way he always has. It just doesn't always come off for him. Still notched another assist and looked a threat.
sdb Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Silly scissor kick aside he was excellent, bar a quiet 20 min period 2nd half. Always looked our most dangerous player.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I hope your right,he's lost us points in 2(villa and Bournemouth) Given away a daft free kick tonight which led to there equaliser, I like Riyad but he such a frustrating player, He like knockart, very selfish, sometimes it seems that it's all about him and not the team, Suppose the irony is he can be crap then pop up with the winner, and all is forgotten, If he thinks he's Barcelona class though he needs a wake up call,he perfectly suited playing for us I really do wonder sometimes.... It amazes me when people try and use the he's cost us four points line, he has 15 goals and as many assists, how many do you think he's earned. Astounding.

Sell Mahrez, let's get Richie Wellens back in. PASHHUNNNN.
BigMicky Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 I think people forget about his work rate, show me a skilful winger apart from Sanchez that tracks his man and works at getting back as much as Mahrez, there isn't one. The over head was a poor choice, he learnt quickly as two mins later he puts it across the box. To slate the man just shows a clear lack of understanding.

If only he could do from 12 yards with only the keeper to beat what he can do from 25 yards surrounded by defenders,But that's not mahrezs style, I don't undervalue his importance to the team or his contribution,I'm merely making a point that he's selfish, all that cut in the out,he so pridictable, Yet amazing at the same time, He would improve as a player if he kept it simple, Gets me how fans are bemoaning schemicheals positioning for the great free kick, which was a fantastic strike, yet when mahrez fooks about some people are 'astounded' that i say such a thing, but hey,it's a forum

Jimmy Posted 1 March 2016 Posted 1 March 2016 Should have been dragged off tonight and needs to be slapped for that scissors kick
