People saying 3 at the back will not happen I think could soon be wrong if we keep conceding. I think the backroom team will point out the fact how tight we were end of season with a back 3 of players already here at the club. Mahrez has proved he can easily play behind the front two to allow albrighton on the right and schlupp on the left with dyer as sub

Ranieri has always played a back four has he not? I'm not sure the leopard will change his spots. With his experience I'd imagine he would back himself to improve the defending, my gut feeling is that will eventually mean less attacking and less goals though. If all his life he's played tactical variations of 4 at the back and xyz in front, then he'll be chucking away all of that knowledge going to a system he himself doesn't really know.

So basically drop Okazaki and Inler. Don't want us to entertain the idea of sticking Kante out on the wing again.

 

Would prefer to see Mahrez free to roam in a No.10 role but that'd mean playing one striker - which won't really help our cause (avoidable if we play 3-5-2, but won't happen). For the slagging that De Laet gets (some deserved) Mahrez offers little or no cover. Maybe allowing Dyer to play on the right and pushing Mahrez up playing off Vardy could work? Probably not but who knows.

 

Looking forward to this game, hopefully we can nick something.

One City win in the last 30 odd years and 30 odd matches, discounting the penalty shoot out. Unbelievably bad stat which is overdue for improving.

It's about time we put one over on this team and I dont think we will ever have a better chance to do it. They are not scoring many goals, look fragile in midfield and lacking confidence. I can't make this match but if we play with pace and get at them can see a good win for the City. Going for 3-1or 4-1, no pizzas but three points.

Not quite. We beat them 2-1 at Filbo in 1993, but nowt since then.

I'm not quite as confident as you about Saturday, but I think the gap between us is narrower than at any time since the 1960s.

Personally think this is the loss. We've gotten away with it in previous games but Arsenal's attack will punish us. I think we'll do our usual routine of go two down, we'll get one back but ultimately not grab that second. 1-2.

We cannot afford silly mistakes in a game like this. Everyone will need to concentrate and do the simple things right (I'm looking at you, Ritchie).

If we go 2-0 down I can't see us pulling it back as they will shut up shop more effectively than Villa and Stoke did. We can't be playing catch up in this one.

2 changes for me, Albrighton for Inler and Ulloa for Okazaki. Play Kante in the middle with Drinkwater.

I think this has a score draw written all over it (as long as we don't gift them a silly goal).

We played very well against them home an away but the away game was typical Leicester. Started decently but managed to be 2 down at half time, they're not going to be so easy to get something from if we do the same again.
