Mark_w Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 Maybe he could have a job just finding staff for clubs then? Like a freelance job? Maybe a good DOF? Yeah or as manager since he's clearly pretty good at that too.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 I see the Mark w love in of Nige continues..... I'm just surprised he's not gone to manage another club already. For me, Newcastle have missed a great opportunity with Pearson, choosing the Wally instead. Someone will get a very solid manager but I think he'll probably return to the Championship with a view to bringing another club up.
GaelicFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Yeah or as manager since he's clearly pretty good at that too. Very good manager in championship Villa should snap him up ASAP He is a good fit there , the fans are deluded and he is deranged But he will get them back up and then they can hire a proper premier league manager.
Soar Fox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Finished 14th in his first full season as a premiership manager. Not bad really is it
RonnieTodger Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Very good manager in championship Villa should snap him up ASAP He is a good fit there , the fans are deluded and he is deranged But he will get them back up and then they can hire a proper premier league manager. Like who?

Proper primier league manager, like ine who finnished 14th in his first season at that level?
GaelicFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Like who? The fat Spanish waiter Moyes David O Leary Proper primier league manager, like ine who finnished 14th in his first season at that level? They would take that now ! They should of hired him at Christmas
Sharpe's Fox Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35793540 Big opportunity for Nige at his old stomping ground, possibly. He would be top of the wish list there, surely?
Wymsey Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 Would be another decent club for him. Rather under-performing but still has opportunity to progress further. You don't hear many managers leaving the training ground after a row, and the board trying to convince him to stay; he's perhaps 'lost the bottle' and the pressure has got to him it seems.
Fox92 Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35793540 Big opportunity for Nige at his old stomping ground, possibly. He would be top of the wish list there, surely? Wow. I think Karanka would be able to get a job easily at that level if he left. Pearson would be near the top of the wish list, I imagine. Icon there for his playing days.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 If Nige goes there and Middlesbrough don't go up this season they will absolutely walk it next.
ousefox Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 after going on about how he'd never get the chance to walk into a club in a good situation! He'd be perfect for that job.
Fox92 Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 Confirmed Karanka won't be in charge tomorrow. Surely gone now?
Tuna Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 Don't follow boro but I'd expect as a former skipper NP would be held in high regard by the supporters & his achievements in the championship would be impressive to the board. He lives about an hour away and knows several of the players plus its a team that is virtually ready made. I've always thought karanka was too flaky and emotional, no real surprise he's had a tantrum and given up. Says alot about his character. If there is a job made for NP Its this one. Hope he goes for it gets it and takes thrm up (as long as we can keep walshy and shakey - they can have De Laet with pleasure!!!).
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 NP will take that job if offered im sure. Then takes all our backroom staff and we self destruct and dont win the league. And Boro come up !
Alf Bentley Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 Confirmed Karanka won't be in charge tomorrow. Surely gone now? This is a bizarre one. Surely they should all be focused on securing promotion? Such a bust-up is to be expected when a team's doing badly, or during a transfer window if manager and board fall out over signings or transfer budget. But near the season end, when the window is shut and the club is well positioned for promotion?! Could be a great opportunity for NP - and for Boro if they get him. I wish him/them well (apart from against us).

But personality clashes happened in football all the time. You've just got to get on with it. You can't take it personally, it's just an emotional game.
LCFC FOX Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 Hopefully he goes there and they don't get promoted this season. But storms the league next season. That'd be nice to see.

I think he signed a new contract just before Christmas.
Rasmic123 Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 if NP goes to boro, they'll see it out and get automatic promotion. would be a good move for both NP and boro that one
LanguedocFox Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 How about Karanka to Florist and Pearson to Middlesbrough? NP would be a perfect fit with Steve Gibson, and he would already have some good players to start with.
HankMarvin Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 de laeet and nuge maybe put in a good word for him
Fox92 Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 de laeet and nuge maybe put in a good word for him I don't think Nigel Pearson needs a good word putting in for him at Middlesbrough.
sdb Posted 13 March 2016 Posted 13 March 2016 I don't think Nigel Pearson needs a good word putting in for him at Middlesbrough. What if the board are all ostriches?
