ScouseFox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Thought he was wasteful a bit on Monday. His crossing in particular, a couple of times he just put the ball in instead of looking like he usually does. Really like Albrighton though, one of those players that will always work hard for the team. down the kop end second half some of his crosses were a bit crap, just hoofed into the middle but like i said in the post match thread i think he was just knackered. must be tough when most your crosses drift in towards a keeper (as a right footer on the left) and the oppo keeper is about 3 foot taller than vardy. he produced one superb cross, got us an assist for the winning goal and the three points. job done

It's tough playing against Courtios he is that big he claims absolutely everything.
ithuriel Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Albrighton is a quality player, just gets overshadowed by our other wing demon
Babylon Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Fouth most assists in the league. Just so I know... how many does he need before fans of other clubs start saying we're a three man team.? Oh hang on, what about Kante. Four man team, we're a four man team. Drinkwater, Fuchs and Huth are good as well... oh.... errrrrm.... we're a 7 man team, that's it.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I thought Albrighton did very well against Chelsea on Monday night. What I love about him is his consistent work rate, he always tries his best for the team, and is willing to both defend and attack to the best of his ability in order to help the side. Marc's crossing is superb and he's a great player to have in the team IMO.
eye666 Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Thought he looked absolutely Fuchsed after an hour, but still managed to plod on through for the full 90. Love his effort and pashun - you could see he was livid with himself when a cross went straight in to a defender (Zouma?) and bounced out for a corner. Definitely another important cog in the LCFC machine.

Just shows how underrated he is.
Goober Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 people I talk to these days always tell me that we need to replace Albrighton if we have serious top half / European aspirations? absolutely love him personally, perfect team player and seriously effective for us. Love how he rarely ever thinks twice about getting it in the box too. His chasing down of the throw in which lead to our 3rd goal at Everton was fooking brilliant.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 He is such a rounded player and probably one of the fittest in the team for the amount of ground he covers, been class this season offensively and defensively.
Richmondfox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 He is such a rounded player and probably one of the fittest in the team for the amount of ground he covers, been class this season offensively and defensively. He seems to have endless energy, can whip a great ball in from nothing and creates chances from nothing. He helps out in defensive and the next second on the attack. If he adds a few more goals the people who don't watch the games will notice him more.

He fits the ethos of our team perfectly. Is probably even better defensively than he is attacking wise and works himself into the ground every game. Who says that we need to replace him? Leicester fans or opposition fans? Can't imagine many Leicester fans saying that - why would we need to get rid of a player who is pretty much the definition of the hard-work, excellent positional play and sacrificing yourself for the team, which our success is built on? He's the perfect player in his position for our style. And he has the most assists of any English player in 2015 despite barely playing until April, so he clearly contributes in both an attacking and defensive sense.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 He is our James Milner. 7/10 every game. Works hard, creates chances, and makes very few mistakes.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 A great player in our team. He works hard, covers ground, supports attacks and is good defensively too. His crossing ability is magnificent and we are very lucky to have him.

I think the fact that we are top shows that we don't really have any passengers. Both individually and collectively we are on a different level to any other Leicester side I've seen an have been the best side in the Premier League so far.

It's because he's not a flashy player in the mold of your Marhez's or Ronaldo's, so people tend to think he's a "weaker link" but this doesn't tell the whole story because his unfashionable play shall we say provides a solid platform for your flair players to go and perform. What he does effectively well is provide great balance. It's the sum of all parts, not individuals that make teams and in these days of raving over the visible difference makers, these quieter yet effective players sometimes get over looked.
PhillippaT Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 The other great thing Albrighton does, is offer a different kind of threat to Mahrez as and when they swap flanks...
americanfox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 This is just my being silly, but I always wondered if Albrighton could slot into RB if needed, and that opens up a spot for Dyer or Schlupp on the wing.

sdb Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Rated about 60th in WhatScore (something like that) players of the season - that's the whole of Europe too. What a 2015 he's had.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Heroic workrate, and has been brilliant for us. Gives great protection to his full back, whilst being dangerous going forward.

I wouldn't pick him there if I had a choice but I wouldn't feel too unhappy sticking him there if we had no subs left.

Would rather him than a second Mahrez. Variety is the spice of our team-love the different strengths they all have...
STUHILL Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 Work rate is standard with him, but he has a lot of quality as well. Got one of the best crosses in the Prem, plus he can beat a man too. Would like to see him score a few goals and then his confidence really would be sky high. Defensively very sound too. He works his socks off tracking back and supporting Fuchs
foxfanazer Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 How many times has he played that cross from deep to Mahrez at the back post? Pin point accuracy everytime
MC Prussian Posted 24 December 2015 Posted 24 December 2015 He symbolizes our work ethic. He goes quietly about it. Gives every game a 100%, covers attacking as well as defending areas and when in good form, his crosses are a joy to the eye of the beholder (Guppy-ish, no?). And again, to think that Villa let him go. Our gain. Our precious.
