What is wrong with you people? Why isn't everyone voting for top 4? Don't be "realistic" - just enjoy yourselves.

Why would you vote top 4 if you don't think we'll finish there?

Exactly - based on current evidence we will finish top 4. Why is anyone doubting that? (yes I know the op said be realistic, but tonight I don't want to be)

I think injuries will have a big factor. When you look at the table there really are not many great teams in the league this season.

Of the teams below us, everyone is beatable. I'm sure we will hit a bad patch, but on the face of it at this point in time, literally anything is possible. I don't think for a second that we can win the league, but the longer we keep this form the less fantasy it will seem.

In reality I expect us to finish between 5-10th. I'd be over the moon with a European place.

**** it... champions!! Why not hey?

We have two goalscorers in the top 10, 2 in the top 10 for assists and the best tackler/ interceptions in the league.

Let's go and win the league!

You see? This is why Australia are so disproportionatly good at sport. They believe in themselves.

We're in the unknown unknowns territory here. As City fans none of us have ever seen anything quite like this before.

It also needs to be borne in mind that this run is a continuation from the beginning of April. Since then we've played 21 PL games and garnered 47 points from a possible 63. That is league-winning form now sustained for over half a season and I doubt if any top-flight team in Europe can compare apart from Celtic in one of Europe's weakest leagues as opposed to one of the strongest.

I think we might be able to stay the course. At the moment Liverpool worry me as a threat to our top 4 place.

Where will 83 points take us then.

As if Liverpool could mount a challenge. lol

We're a good team but so far, we haven't played the really tough games, had any bad luck, been robbed by the ref or had injuries and suspensions to key players. All of that will happen at some point and we will drop down the league. I think we're easily good enough for top ten though.

10th or 11th. We have had a superb start but let's be honest we haven't been tested against the leagues best, apart from Arsenal. The next 7 games will truly show our potential

We don't need to be winning against the leagues best... not even to finish top 8... We need to be winning the games that we have been winning, be consistent. If we were winning against the leagues best too then we would be winning the title

Did you not read my previous post? To finish 10th we would have to be as successful as Burnley were last season between now and the end of the season.

According to last year's table to finish 10th (Palace 48pts) we would need 19th place form from last season (Burnley 33pts)

9th finish (Stoke 54pts) we would need 14th form from last season (Leicester 41pts)

8th finish (Swansea 56pts) we would need 13th form from last season (West Brom 44pts)

7th finish (Southampton 56pts) we would need 10th form from last season (Crystal Palace 48pts)

6th finish (Liverpool 62pts) we would need 9th form from last season (Stoke 54pts)

5th finish (Tottenham 64pts) we would need 8th form from last season (Swansea 56pts)

4th finish (Manchester Utd 70pts) we would need 5th form from last season (Tottenham 64pts)

Need I go on?

So to get possible Champions League we're going to have to be as good as Tottenham were last season starting from now.

To get possible Europa League we're going to have to be as good as Stoke were last season starting from now.

I said at the start of the season I'll be happy avoiding relegation again as I wasn't sure how things would pan out with Pearson leaving. Now I would say top 10. Given our start to the season, it would be massively disappointing to finish outside the top 10. Injuries could have an affect though. If Vardy got injured I'd be worried. We have shown we can win without Mahrez and without other first team players but I think we would struggle to win a lot of games without JV

My 11yr son thinks we'll be in the Champions League next year! I'm a big fan but this bubble will burst (probably Dec looking at the fixtures!) I think we'll finish around mid table and let's be honest, a club of our size, tihs is the target. Be great to have a run in the F.A.Cup........and chase the trophy we've never won.

YOU listen to your son, he seems to know more about football...

He seems to be a good and intelligent young lad, shame his father is being stubborn, and wont listen to the

wiser younger generation..!!!

I see no reason for our "bubble" to burst. We've not put our wonderful string of results together these last few months by accident and I'm quite sure today's team is better equipped to maintain our progress than the team which finished last season. Fuchs, Simpson, Benny, Shinji and Kante have added depth to our squad and the improved form of Vardy and Drinkwater has been a further plus.

We're winning matches for sound footballing reasons and I can only see the team being further strengthened. Furthermore the so-called "big" clubs don't seem so dominant any longer. Manchester City only managed a draw against a defence-minded Villa line-up today, neither Arsenal Arsenal nor Spurs looked like world beaters and Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace.

Suddenly all the big sides look beatable while a good many secondary sides like Southampton, Stoke, Palace, ourselves and West Ham look capable of emerging on a consistent basis.

People worry about the potential loss of Vardy to injury but has Ranieri not already shown that he has the breadth of tactical thinking to change or adapt our system? Ulloa's a double-figure marksman who's hardly been used this season and would surely benefit from Albrighton's service and I am sure there are other options too. Either way with such fast and busy midfielders I am quite sure we could continue to cope notwithstanding what we might do in the next transfer window.

I don't really know where we will finish, 5, 6, 7 who knows but if we continue in this form, ride our luck, strengthen wisely in January then this could just end up being a season beyond my wildest dreams. What I do know is we need to just enjoy it now because seasons like this don't come round very often.
