Harry - LCFC Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Not sure if that was our best performance of the season or Newcastle were the worse team we've played. 8s and 9s all round. I feel sorry for Ulloa, he must have thought his goal would get him a start next week and then Okazaki does the same. He'll probably still start
davelcfc100 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Looked at the line up just before kick off and thought to myself for the first time since I was a little kid, we have really solid players in every position. A couple months back I was thinking to my self it's just VARDY and mahrez but earlier I asked myself to pick 2 positions that need seriously improving and I couldn't do it. Strength all over the pitch and really not sure how far this team could go. Am I seeing this team through tinted specs or are we the team that could make a challenge for the top 4 from nothing? So proud of our team, when Vardy scored I nearly cried, LCFC!
Dan Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Simpson and Fuchs in for De Laet and Schlupp has made a serious difference I think.
Carl the Llama Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 This time last year we were bottom of the league with a goal difference of -8 having gained 10 points and dropped 29. Now we're top with a goal difference of +8 having gained 28 points and dropped 11. It's almost a perfect mirror image. I don't like what that implies for the tail end of our campaign given the great run we went on last season.
trabuch Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 We are superb. Massively entertaining side. In 50 years I have never seen a better Leicester side. I am in football heaven.
Hack Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 It's amazing to think we are 4 more wins from staying up this early on! Imagine if we do that before Christmas! Can we all stop talking about staying up. Jez we are more than likely going to be playing some form of European football next season and with the form we are in a real and I mean real title challenger.
Hack Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 This Leicester team is so so sexy, we could serious challenge for top four, Ranieri completely proving everyone wrong Not the ones who were supportive of the appointment!! Again this is a very important for all fans to trust and support the owners and management!! They all know what they are doing better than any fan.
Leicester_Numan Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Can we all stop talking about staying up. Jez we are more than likely going to be playing some form of European football next season and with the form we are in a real and I mean real title challenger. Way too early to say we're a real title challenger when we've still got to play the usual ones twice, it's only November and we're only 13 games in. There's realism, there's optimism, and then there's getting a little bit carried away.
narboroughblue Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Fantastic day yesterday, thought Vardy didn't look 100% fit but to put that performance in carrying an injury was phenomenal. Wrap him in cotton wool and tell him to take a few days off. One thing confusing me is this no shots on target stat, I don't know who headed it but 2nd half a combination of Kasper and Drinkwater cleared the ball off the line from a corner. Irrelevant really as we were so comfortable and made them look poor. Chatting to one of their fans after he said we were the best side he's seen this year. So nice to hear compliments like that. Tough game next week but can't wait for the next instalment from the entertainers.

Fox92 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Journey was horrific but yesterday was quite easily my favourite away of the season so far. First time I've ever seen us win at St James Park. We were superb and could have/should have quite easily scored 5. Our style of play is superb. There wasn't one bad Leicester City performance yesterday. Loving this season so far!
foxfanazer Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Come on @@Stuliasz where are these ratings pal? Slacking!

Great to have 3 of our strikers score. Ulloa was fantastic imo
MC Prussian Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 The only thing that got me a little yesterday was Vardy not wanting to pass the ball to Mahrez at the end of that counter in the second half. I thought that was too selfish a move and we could've created something better out of a switch to Mahrez' side.

But Vardy is a striker on form and scoring every game, you will get that... even the worlds best do it.
lgfualol Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Simpson and Fuchs in for De Laet and Schlupp has made a serious difference I think. Indeed. We seem a lot more confident at the back, I noticed Mahrez didnt have to track back much yesterday because Simpson handled everything his side. Fuchs is just the best lb we've had in ages.

The commentator on my stream called it right I thought, that Vardy took a heavy touch and made the pass more difficult.
Fox92 Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 The commentator on my stream called it right I thought, that Vardy took a heavy touch and made the pass more difficult. He should have played it ages before that. Although I'm not faulting Vardy in that form with that confidence to try and take it himself. If the score was 0-0 I rekon he would have passed.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Given he'd already equalled the record, it was a bit selfish of Vardy to try to score because the pass was obvious and would have probably resulted in a really iconic Leicester City goal but it was nearly an even more iconic one and, to be fair, it's that kind of single-mindedness that is getting him into some great goalscoring positions.

A striker who is high on confidence and consistently scoring will be greedy... the best are single minded that is fact
foxfanazer Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 A striker who is high on confidence and consistently scoring will be greedy... the best are single minded that is factYep no problem with that at all. I still think he wanted to take it past the last defender and square it for Mahrez for a tap in
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Can't really blame Vardy for taking it on - his primary job is scoring and he is on fire at the moment. It was a good chance to score as he knew he could beat the defender. If roles were reversed, I would have expected Mahrez to slide Vardy in - he has that eye for a killer pass. Still, if that's all we have to complain about (and it probably was) then life is pretty good.

The commentator on my stream called it right I thought, that Vardy took a heavy touch and made the pass more difficult. He definitely should have passed it before that 'heavy' touch and Mahrez would have had a great chance although even at the time and watching it again, I think that after that touch, he just brushed the defender which may have slowed him down enough not to have reached the ball and slot it past the keeper. It was only the slightest of contact, but it could have been enough to slow him down.
