Can't really blame Vardy for taking it on - his primary job is scoring and he is on fire at the moment. It was a good chance to score as he knew he could beat the defender. If roles were reversed, I would have expected Mahrez to slide Vardy in - he has that eye for a killer pass.

Still, if that's all we have to complain about (and it probably was) then life is pretty good.

Absolutely, and you are right mahrez would have played in Vardy, because mahrez is the creator and Vardy is the finisher...

Everyone played well, thought Albrighton was a little beliw par by his high standards. Great to have 3 of our strikers score. Ulloa was fantastic imo

Eh. You might want to watch the highlights again, Albrighton was pivotal in the build up play and creation to many of our best chances. He's never going to be a player who gets it right 100% of the time but he keeps trying stuff that even when a lot of it isn't coming off, his play still almost always leads to at least a few chances a game for us. He had a good game.

He did have a decent game just don't think his deliveries were as pin point as usual. Guaranteed starter for us atm

Vardy should have played Mahrez in and there's no excusing it. Even if he had of scored he was still wrong.

I'm sure CR will have a word with him over it and rightly so.

No guarantee that Mahrez would have scored but he certainly would have got the chance to. Players are encouraged to do the right thing at all times. Vardy didn't and the chance was lost.

Best be prepared to get banged because you just chatted **** mate

I agree he should have passed but to think he should have been told off even if he had scored is a bit over the top, surely confidence should be praised rather then punished?

A player at the top of his game, top scorer in the PL and having just equalled a record can not be blamed for not giving the ball to someone else when he feels he can score, BUT if he had the benefit of time to think he might have considered how many of his goals have come from Riyad`s assists and the gift wrapped penalty for his 9th.

They were absolute sh1t and how anybody thought we wouldn't pick up 3 points is beyond me.     I can honestly say that when I sat down in the 'cloud stand' peering at the players through the seagulls that I didn't for one minute think we would lose .....   the only game I've felt like that all season.   Hats off to their fans for applauding JV and had some good comments from their lot in the bars after the game.

Only down side is the beer up there was about as bad as their team and my guts are still well off now !

There must be 50 passes per match that should've been made and weren't. We won, get over it.

But hardly any that were/are so obvious like the one on Saturday.

He definitely should have passed it before that 'heavy' touch and Mahrez would have had a great chance although even at the time and watching it again, I think that after that touch, he just brushed the defender which may have slowed him down enough not to have reached the ball and slot it past the keeper. It was only the slightest of contact, but it could have been enough to slow him down.

The heavy touch I'm talking about it not the final one that took it to the keeper, it was one or two before that. The way I saw it was he drew their defender closer to him and had a wonky touch taking the ball too close to their player and meaning he had to go alone.

You could say he should have done it even before that, but I think he was doing the right thing in drawing in their player.

Truly a golden time to support us. Today was easy really. Should have been 6!

Well done vards and good to see 2 other strikers on the scoresheet after droughts.

Newcastle fans - can we finally bury the myth that they are great fans? Booing as soon as they're behind and almost all left before full time. Embarrassing.

When Vardy equalled the record most Newcastle fans applauded him.  I know, because I was one of them.

I was very impressed by Leicester and if you continue to play like that and stay relatively injury free then I can see you making top 4 easily.  You have some very interesting players and unlike Newcastle's management, you appear to realise that you cannot be creative if you continually play with a very slow centre forward and 2 DM's.

I hope you have a superb season and show up some of these so called pundits who in the main don't have a clue.

The secret to success is having a good manager who gets his team to play  'footy'.  The reason is that a players technical ability improves as the season goes on if he is in a team playing the game how it should be..

You will get better and better and that is scary because you already have a cracking outfit.

It just goes to show what can be accomplished with a good manager who likes to play the game in the right way.

Good luck lads and rub their noses in it!

My MD is a season-ticket holder of many years. Never heard him so dejected after a performance. Just can't see any way out for them at the moment. Rodgers, Moyes, Pearson - surely any would be more inspirartional than Stevie Mac? Has to be dead-man walking???

McClaren despite having been manager of the National side is a complete fraud. Good managers inspire their players, and this guy is utterly uninspiring.

He's got coaching badges coming out of his ears, but as a manger he's nothing more than an actor pretending to be a manager.

Yes he's fluked a Dutch title, but a blind pig can find an acorn once in a while, and as you say he has to be on the way out there already.

Mind you, the players there are shit but he does not posses the charisma to get the best out of what he's got.

Its just my opinion but Pearson would be fantastic for them. Just what they need, somebody to come in and rebuild the club and give faith and belief back. I also think they deserve each other and i mean that in a positive way. Newcastle is a good club with good fans and Pearson is a top man who did a fantastic job for us.

As a coach, he was very well respected. Didn't Fergie poach him from Derby when he lost his assistant?

You're right about his management though. Completely blagging it.
