Super_horns Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Ambitions and bold move for him - clearly prepared to take a risk so many wouldn't
Tuna Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 At Grantham Town on Saturday, managing Valencia on Wednesday!
fuchsntf Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 As a player, as a pundit, always liked him... Now love to see him succeed as manager at Valencia and as an English coach. I wouldnt like to see his star wane, we need a few English football successes.
Webbo Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 He'll probably resign in six weeks. His reign in Spain and then he's on the plane.
AKCJ Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 how so? Well for a starter Raul doesn't have any coaching experience.
AKCJ Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 That must be one of the worst videos ever. Yeah, helps if I watch a video before posting. I thought it was the actual interview. Which was pretty funny.
Fox92 Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 Yeah, helps if I watch a video before posting. I thought it was the actual interview. Which was pretty funny. It's too late now mate you've been judged
Thracian Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 Good luck to him. I've always reckoned management is not just about understanding what turns good players into a good team but having the personal magnetism to inspire total loyalty and commitment to one another. It's relatively easy for many people in the short term but familiarity breeds contempt if you're not careful and you have to recognise that to keep the whole atmosphere alive and positive. Emphasising targets also helps - individually and collectively. People need to see that they're improving and that there's even more to come if they demand it of themselves and each other. A manager also needs to be ruthless, but fair. Some decisions will hurt desperately but they'll need to be made. Whether Neville has all those qualities rmains to be seen but he's got the background, he's walked the walk, he's articulate and analytical. I just don't know if he's inspiring but some of his play sure helped bring the best out of Ronaldo so he's not without hope.
Fox92 Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 "Manchester City v Liverpool, for the title? It's like having the choice of two blokes who nick your wife" lol

sly1 Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Gary neville why on earth did you go there then no wins since you been there what a complete wolly egg on on your face.

Donut Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 So this guy has gone from saying he would be mad and lose all credibility if he turned this job down, to saying his future doesnt lie in management in the space of a month? Fvcks sake Neville make your mind up.
J.Lisemore Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11827/10117977/gary-neville-tells-sky-sports-his-future-does-not-lie-in-management wtf is this? Gary just come home and be a pundit mate
Donut Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 The Valencia fans must be really happy with this, having a temporary manager on board that is more interested in his punditry than building an actual managerial career. Why did he take the bleeding job in the first place?
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 I can't quite believe what Valencia have done. Appointing Neville as their manager having had zero club management experience is simply bizarre. It's even worse than Villa appointing Remi Garde when they could and should have gotten Pearson.
Buzzell Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Takes over as Valencia manager and now he's decided his future doesn't lie in management! lol
Raj Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Due to talk talk I've got 3 months free sky and am watching Valencia v Real Madrid. It's actually more like a Premier League game and really good. Always was under the impression Spanish footy is slow and tappy tappy.
AKCJ Posted 3 January 2016 Posted 3 January 2016 Top quality goal from Real. Incredible interplay between Bale and Ronaldo and a nice finish from outside of the area from Benzema.
The Blur Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 So this guy has gone from saying he would be mad and lose all credibility if he turned this job down, to saying his future doesnt lie in management in the space of a month? Fvcks sake Neville make your mind up. He just had! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35218991
Corky Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Four draws and two defeats from six league games so far.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Won't be long before hes coming home, a job in England would have done him some good but going to Spain for your first stint at management what was going through his mind? he comes across as pretty sensible but this was a huge risk which has gone wrong.
Jattdogg Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Won't be long before hes coming home, a job in England would have done him some good but going to Spain for your first stint at management what was going through his mind? he comes across as pretty sensible but this was a huge risk which has gone wrong. Maybe he is hoping the media wont take notice because its spain. Id imagine he would have been crucified more managing scunthorpe with that record.
