so ! .. that a total of 29 points lost from winning positions this season. But looking closer at the details of some of those just check this out its mindboggling and they dont appear to learn from it..

a) Home v SPURS - concede in 90+5 & 90+ 7 to wrestle a loss from a certain win position .. b)_ Home v WEST HAM concede 90+1 to wrestle a draw from a certain win . c) AWAY V Newcastle concede 90+5 to wrestle a loss from a certain draw .. d) AWAY V Everton concede 90+2 mins to wrestle a draw from a certain win .. 8 points thrown , litteraly thrown away ..why ??/..i mean what is it, lack of concentration , lack of energy ..what ?? ... the further effect to our season many may have forgotten e ) AWAY V Liverpool caraboa cup Q/final concede 90+5 to wrestle a peno shoot out away from a certain semi final of ony 3 domestic competitons we are involved in.. Injuries galore , long term ones im not dismissing that been key to a lot of things this season . but this !!!!!! and .. oh ive bot forgotten, our INABILITY to defend set pieces .. we are talking basics of the game here .. our INABILITY to finish teams off when on top.. ..That above for me summarises our sesson, injuries a major part i know that, but some of the above is undefendable ( pardon the pun ) .. go figure .. improvement please and a little more nous to put teams away and close off games deep , deep into injury time Brendan.. up the foxes from a season ticket holder

Didn't know where to post this... but worth a read, and is a bit of a crazy stat!

To horribly paraphrase Brian Clough:

I wouldn't say he was the worst player I've seen play for Leicester but he was definitely in the top 1.

Seems like he was held in regard at Brighton... I thought the author was taking the p*ss to begin with! 😄

espn.com just ran a piece ranking certain PL players* using a few stats, and they have come up with one that sounds reasonable…how well the team plays when the player is on the pitch, compared to when he is off.

”Advanced on-off” is the team’s xG (instead of goal) diff while the player is on versus off, per 90’.

But in practice? The top four include Chris Wood and Demarai Gray. Pogba is up there. Second worst was Kevin de Bruyne.

Not sure what that means, except the danger of using a small sample size, especially with xG, and that the game really is about the entire XI, not the individual.

* all players who have played from 40 to 70% of their clubs’ minutes

We do love a Spurs match.

  • Since their return to the Premier League in 2014, Leicester have conceded more league goals against Tottenham than they have versus any other side (39). Tottenham’s 39 goals against Leicester is also the most they have scored against an opponent in that time.

  • Harry Kane has scored 17 goals in 14 matches against Leicester in the Premier League, the most goals he has scored against any side. In the competition’s history, only Alan Shearer (20 against Leeds) has scored more goals against a specific opponent.

  • The Foxes have conceded 14 goals from corner situations in the Premier League this season, the most of any side, and the most in a single season since Brighton’s 16 in 2017-18.

Crappy stat time

  • Leicester City have conceded 82 goals this season, the most of any Premier League club, with 22 of those goals coming from set-pieces (27%, excluding penalties) and 17 coming from corners (21%).

  • Brendan Rodgers has only won one of his 10 managerial meetings with Jose Mourinho (D3 L6), with this the second time Rodgers has been eliminated from a cup competition by the Roma boss (also 2014-15 League Cup semi-final when he was in charge of Liverpool and Mourinho was boss of Chelsea).

That first one is such a stupid stat, although it’s been a crappy season, we’ve played 15 games more than most other PL teams this season.

Following the Norwich game, we have a +8 goal difference at Home, but -12 goal difference Away.

The Norwich game isn't significant, just an interesting insight into our form and how our style of play translates.

When the season ends I'll compare it Year-on-year.

It's inevitable Kane will beat this in a couple of season unless he moves abroad.

If we finish 10th or higher, this will mark the first time in the history of the club that we have finished  in the top half of the highest tier in five successive seasons. The previous sequences of four were 1926-30 (7th, 3rd, 2nd, 8th)  and 1996-2000 (9th, 10th, 10th, 8th) and now from 2017 we have 9th, 9th, 5th, 5th....
