WesMorganGod Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 First yellow of the season, thats because he doesn't miss-time tackles, the timing of his tackles are immense, completely and utterly dominated Aguero as I knew he would do, the goal was totally offside so doesn't count, Aguero got dominated and I knew it would happen. Morgan is the best ever, he won us the title in the championship as the team captain and he will win us the premiership as the team captain, and he saved us from relegation as the team captain.. the most amazing career of any premiership player in the history of the premiership. Can't wait to see him lift our prem title at the end, nothing can stop the journey now.

Yesterday the Foxes confirmed that leading goalscorerJamie Vardy had signed a new deal at the King Power Stadium until 2019. Now, according to The People, Leicester want skipper Morgan to follow suit and extend his terms. The 32-year-old, who joined the Premier League leaders from rivals Nottingham Forest in 2012, has 18 months left to run on his current contract. Morgan has featured in all 25 of Leicester's league matches this term.
ScouseFox Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 remarkable that at 32 he's seemingly getting better. experience i guess. not sure about offering him a much longer deal (an extra year maybe) but presumably as the captain of the league's best team he'll be due a wage increase.
Foxxed Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 I loved how angry he looked when we conceded. There's a man who's not taking anything for granted, even when we're hammering Man City 3 nil. Utter hero. Fantastic captain.
RowlattsFox Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 Incredible to think he had about a week off in the summer, if that, yet has been outstanding without missing a minute.
M0901 Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 Did anyone see his jinking run during the Man City game He skipped past two challenges like a young Messi then gave away a 5 yard pass What a player though, what a captain and what a season he's having

Koke Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 When we got promoted I said to the mrs that I dread the thought of seeing Aguero leave him on his arse and Suarez run rings around him and leave him for pace. Performed admirably against Aguero twice this season. The transformation of Morgan into a solid PL defender is one of the most satisfying things this season.

By solid PL defender, you mean the most beastly defender in the league right?

Bearman Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 No nonsense type player, goes about his duties without fuss...a fine captain and a credit to the game.
NeilLCFC Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Love the guy. Will never forget him singing the **** Forest chant when we romped the championship

Love the way he has gone about his business this season, but will be 34 when his current deal runs out, not sure about offering him a contract much longnger.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 He's been superb this season. His positioning in games has been key, especially when he makes those blocks which can prevent us from conceding a lot of the time.

Was a good defender amongst garbage ones last season, which unfortunately made him a scapegoat. The fact he had so many blocks last season showed he was defending well, but the amount of blocks in the end led to a few own goals hence the scapegoating. Players like Liam Moore/Matthew Upson and Konchesky/De Laet was the problem last season, no Wes. It was no surprise when he had better defenders around him, like Albrighton/Schlupp (in the 3-5-2) and Huth, we did better
Great Boos Up Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Still trying to get my head round the possibility that our Wes could be lifting the Barclays Premier League Trophy.
fuchsntf Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 He deserves and earned the right to be mentioned, in the same sentence as , Walsh, Elliot, Sjoberg, Cross. If Huth is around for 2 more seasons, thats + 1. Though if we pick up the title from here. Huth and Morgan will be the starred * two. That IMO ..worthy. This season is his best so far , title or no title. His solid performances, not only have they suprised me, but I reckon near on everybody, especially consistency. Championship title then an up and down, but successfull season from last year, a very eventfull summer, and this seasons tremendous run. Tell me 3 other PL better CBs. If the dream and ride ends on an high, forget unsung hero, Wes song will have earned all the lyrics and songs more than Robin Hood himself.
foxfanazer Posted 22 February 2016 Posted 22 February 2016 Talk about players playing to the very top of their ability. Wes has been a big part of a wonderful era for our football club. Well done big man
M0901 Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Shoot me down if there's a post dedicated to him already, but man oh man, what a wonderful, meteoric rise in Wes Morgan's career it's been over the last 12/18 months I can only remember him being at fault for one goal this season (v Stoke away), beside that he's been receiving plaudits left right and centre, and deservedly so I'd read some posts last season about how he's "clearly not cut out" for the premier league and is "too out of his depth", but he's proven most wrong this season and I'm delighted for him, his handling of some the elite strikers in this league e.g. Aguero (in both games) has been outstanding. It'd be the perfect scenario for the big man to lift the trophy in May and cap off what has been an incredible year for him. Especially amazing considering his tenure with Jamaica last summer, he hasn't stopped! Again, apologies if there is a post dedicated to him already, just thought I'd put this in here...
