FoxesFan94 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Good but frustrating match. Wonder if Vardy will be taking penalties from now on?] Also we were never going to score after they went down to 10, they clearly were playing for the draw afterwards.
NewEnglandFox Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 I was hoping somebody would say he created Vardy's chance. Come on, it was a horribly hit shot. I counted Okazaki touched the ball 2 times, one was a pretty awful shot and the other a pass. Probably more as I was drifting between our game and Mr Stelling. Kram will get his chance in a disjointed side against Spurs, probably feed on scraps then resume his spot as 4th choice striker. Ball went straight to his feet. Intent or not it works out to be the perfect pass.
Sunbury Fox Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Very, very disappointing. Feels like a loss. I was astonished by how deep we were in the first half. Basically surrendered the initiative to a team of lower league journeymen with half a team injured. What has happened to the high tempo starts that blew teams away? And why show that much respect to them? Second half we huffed and puffed but created precious little against a team with a very poor defensive record and a dodgy keeper. This was a game where we needed a scrappy goal off a set piece but we never look likely to score from one. Still, as others have said, we need to keep things in perspective. We are still 2nd in the league after all and Arsenal only just beat Newcastle at home so it shows there are no easy games in this league.
EGBFitness Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Wish mahrez would give over with that stupid stutter before every penalty. Just hit the bloody thing and stop confusing yourself nevermind the goalkeeper! It's worked for him up until today!?
Karljohn Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 40 points 20 games is a great return. Forget about Vardy and Mahrez, its time midfielders started scoring. Okazaki is dreadful.
RobHawk Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If it's a bit concerning, if anything it's because the last three performances haven't been too great. Need to freshen things up. Well it looks like we have some fresh faces coming in this month and I'm sure some legs will be rested next week. The goals have dried up which is disappointing, but anyone who thought we wouldn't have a few games where we struggle is a mug. The good news is, we have stopped conceding, we look tired, poor, whatever you like we have conceded 1 goal in 3 games and it will turn around In a week or 2.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If the penalty went in, this thread would be in a totally different mood
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Finally relaxed and calmed down a bit... no team goes the season without a bad patch, this is ours now... and stil managed a couple of clean sheets and points... not a disaster far from it. Let's pick ourselves up and realise we are still in a position no one could ever have dreamt at this stage of the season.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 RL caller saying we should have Defoe up front because Vardy can't cut it
EGBFitness Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 40 points 20 games is a great return. Forget about Vardy and Mahrez, its time midfielders started scoring. Okazaki is dreadful. We definitely do need more goals being scored from other positions Teams are going to try and stop your 2 best players from being effective
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 It's worked for him up until today!? I hate it every time he does it. No need for it, just loses momentum.
steflcfc Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 It shows our lack in depth when we have had to play Vardy last 3/4 games, the pressure to play him I feel has shown in his play. No one else, taking Mahrez out of it, is helping with the burden of scoring goals. Stop Jamie and Rihad, and u have a chance of beating us. Our play at times has been excellent the last 20 games, but we need to realise the counter attack won't always work. Give us possession and make us pass more and we look very average. We need to address this as very one needs a plan B which, we don't have. Our subs are a shot in the dark today neither had an influence on the game
EGBFitness Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 RL caller saying we should have Defoe up front because Vardy can't cut it Do people still listen to that programme? I'm sure it's Stringer doing false calls - surely they can't find the most retarded of Leicester fans every week to speak to!?
bovril Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Welcome back Leicester Welcome back mental over-reactors.
ThaiFox Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 40 points 20 games is a great return. Forget about Vardy and Mahrez, its time midfielders started scoring. Okazaki is dreadful. Any one of us would have been thrilled with 40 points after 20 games! Agree totally that we need more goals from other players. How Morgan missed a sitter today was as bad the Mahrez penalty. Why does Morgan go up, he neither looks like scoring, or creates anything for others. Kante was our best player and was the one player who looked really up for it.
STUHILL Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Ulloa and Dyer were poor. Can forgive Dyer because he has had very little game time but Ulloa seems to be the weak link in our starting 11 at the moment. I argued that Austin would be an upgrade on Ulloa and I stand by that, but if he is not available then would still like to see someone come in. Massive credit to Bournemouth as I thought we threw a lot at them. Having a man sent off probably worked out worse for us, as it meant they were happy with the point and had no plans to attack and allow us any space. I am not going to over react like many others. Still a point against a decent side. Should have been 3 points after the penalty and Vardy's chance but it shows where we need to strengthen i.e Striker. I thought Claudio got his subs spot on again, but obviously Dyer didn't work out, due to a poor game. 40 points target achieved in incredible time and still 2nd in the league with transfer window to come. Exciting times! Let the whingers come out the wood work though.....
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If the penalty went in, this thread would be in a totally different moodBut it didn't...
Vacamion Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If the peno had gone in, I think we'd have bagged more, as Bournemouth would not have spent the last half hour parking the bus. Shame.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If the penalty went in, this thread would be in a totally different mood But it didn't and was symptomatic of a tired, listless performance. That said we still created enough chances to win 5 games.
dedlock Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Very disappointing. Bournemouth had the better of the first half and had 2 or 3 chances.A couple of weeks ago JVs shot that hit the post would have gone in. Although we turned it round 2nd half, it was a poorly taken penalty We should have created more and made the extra man pay.We looked listless.
TeamRocket Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Would have been good if we got summit more then draw
Rasmic123 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 If the penalty went in, this thread would be in a totally different mood if vardy's first half effort had gone in the forum would be in a different mood. if morgan or kante scores in the second half the forum would be in a different mood. if we had beaten liverpool and man city the forum would be in a different mood. if we were 15 points clear at the top the forum would be in a different mood etc.
les-tah Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 if you stop mahrez and vardy Leicester wont score unfortunately .. we need to add more threats, new striker and attacking midfielder/winger, please. pls.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 It is a sequence of results we haven't dealt with since well last season ... you forget what it is like to not win a game in three, lose and two draws isn't a disaster though... at least our defence is good
