MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2016 Author Posted 2 January 2016 I knew it from the start that Bournemouth are no pushovers. Sadly, we shot ourselves in the foot too often and failed to create anything worthwhile on purpose in the first 45 minutes. Lacklustre display all along apart from the period in the second half with a one-man advantage. The missed penalty acting as the symbol of today's poor general effort. Hardly could put a foot right in midfield, too many lost balls in the first half by Mahrez, Drinkwater and even Kanté, plus no service for an isolated Jamie Vardy. And Ulloa was far off his best. At least we've got the 40 points. A clean sheet. And we're still second!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Don't mind that too much. The boys worked hard and we had enough chances to win it, although they really should have scored too. I'm sure Vardy et. al will find their scoring touch again soon. Feel like it will probably be a while before we see Dyer in action again. Awful today
cityfanlee23 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 You're not kidding. Perspective, ladies and gents. Perspective. Definitely this.
Socks Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 ah well at least were safe whatever we get from here is a bonus, i predict us to now finish mid table
steflcfc Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Wasn't at the races, for all the huff and puff was out of ideas. No plan B as plan A didn't work all game. Our squad is stretched, and no adequate replacements for some players is starting to show. We need strengthening this month But we face a dilemma as not many decent replacements are going to want to sit on the bench. Our success this half of the season may come back to bite us! I have a feeling our season may start to de-rail Apart from Vardy and the pen which shouldn't have been, Bournmouth had the best 2 chances.
Webbo Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 The luck we've had this year deserted us today. If Vardy didn't hit the post, if Mahrez scores the pen we absolutely piss it.Wasn't a good performance though. We need to sign someone to freshen up the squad. Tbf we pinched a point at their place.
Benji Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Terrible in the final third. One of the most frustrating attacking performances I've watched in a few years. Well done to Bournemouth, though.
Ozwin Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 The addition of Gray tells you attack is a priority.
bovril Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Fooking dreadful. If we're faced with any sort of team that defend and don't let us counter, we are terrible. We have become so one-dimensional, Pearson taught us to play attacking football and Ranieri is teaching long balls with sporadic counter attacks. Dreadful. How long have you been saving that one up for? Some ludicrous responses so far in this thread. Roll on the cup...
cityfanlee23 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Dyer is the a waste of space, cant beat his man, cant control and cant pass. Knew mahrez would miss didn't look confident at all, whether he is tired or what didn't look himself, need additions to the attack immediately or we will slide, Bournemouth looked the better site. Are you serious? He had a bad game today... he's been decent when he's appeared previously, Even vardy was average today. Absolute over reaction.
thegaffa Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Calm down. Bournemouth set themselves up to get a 0-0 after the red card and they got it. It was a Christmas period game, hard slog against a determined, newly-promoted side. I think some of us have been a little spoiled by the season so far. Seriously? How was that performance not woeful mate?
LcFc_Smiv Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Tactically poor today, why does it take them going down to 10 men for our manager to decide to stop showing them respect.
cityfanlee23 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Striker and winger needed. Gray, young, hungry, endless potential, Proper Leicester player.
m4DD0gg Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Oh and for the love of god get mahrez off penalties. Who does he think he is kermorgant?
Always Next Year Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Mahres lost us this game with his fcuking stop start run, never to take another one. We need to sort ourselves out the fight is starting to go from the whole team.
4everfox Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Calm down. Bournemouth set themselves up to get a 0-0 after the red card and they got it. It was a Christmas period game, hard slog against a determined, newly-promoted side. I think some of us have been a little spoiled by the season so far. Fair play to them in all honesty. They have frustrated the hell out of me and put me in a stinking mood. Today is a clear sign that we need to sign some players. A top quality striker and winger are a must.
Charl91 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 I can't wait for Ulloa to become the scapegoat to all of this. To be fair, Ulloa was bad. Very bad. It just so happens that Dyer was then 10x worse.
Zapp Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Worst performance of the season. Dyer was shocking. Vardy wasted chances. Apart from missing the penalty mahrez was absent. Kante and drinkwater were impressive again but the creation of chances was poor They deserved a draw from a very solid defensive display. Let's hope it's a one off.
Tuna Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 I think if Bournemouth had 11 men for the rest of the game, we would have lost. We were absolute shit, short of ideas and quality. We urgently need quality players to add to the squad, no goals in 3 and quarter games for a team in our position is , yes a crisis because we didn't look like we'd score if we were playing until midnight. Bournemouth are a poor side, missing several players and we couldn't beat them at home against 10 men for a third of the match. We look like a spent force, we've ran out of ideas and steam. Our striking options, frankly are pitiful if you look beyond Vardy. Ulloa and Shinji are just not good enough.
masterg59 Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Dyer had a bad one but don't forget the reason he came on was because leo was worse. we were more balanced and played better at the start of the second half pen miss ruined it, they then believed that they could hang on
katieakita Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 The red card didn't help us, Ulloa and Dyer had games to forget, had the chances but did not take them but got 40pts and a break till the next game, lets hope we freshen up the squad a bit.
RowlattsFox Posted 2 January 2016 Posted 2 January 2016 Probably a good time to happen, we need to take advantage of the position we are in and strengthen. People questioned how we'd react when vardy dries up, not great today. Still, bit of perspective. We've hit 40 points after 20 games.
