rhollis14 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Based on how long you have watched Leicester for, what would your Leicester one to eleven be? This is based on which players you have seen when you have supported City. I started following football in the 97/98 season, so my team would be: Schmeichel Elliott Huth Kamark Lennon Izzet Kante Cambiasso Mahrez Vardy Heskey I am aware that it is slightly unbalanced with Izzet on the right and Mahrez having no left back behind him, but to accommodate the three central midfielders it was a necessity. Other players who narrowly missed out were Ian Walker, Tim Flowers, Steve Walsh, Frank Sinclair, Steve Guppy and Tony Cottee.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Flowers Kaamark Elliott © Taggart Fuchs Mahrez Lennon...or Kante...no wait...argh-impossible! Izzett Guppy Heskey Vardy 4-4-2, goals throughout. Bench of Collymore, Morgan, Dyer, DD, Kante/Lennon, Kasper, Gary Mills
rhollis14 Posted 4 January 2016 Author Posted 4 January 2016 How could you leave out Akinbiyi? I genuinely think that he was harshly treated. Yes, he did miss a lot of chances, however he did get 13 premier league goals in his first season with us, which is a decent return for a striker playing for a team like us at the time. He was being supplied by a midfield of Junior Lewis we have to remember....

But he was much, much worse than his stats suggest. Ball bouncing off his shin, running it into touch. Utter, utter w@nk. Worst player I ever saw. Anyway, don't mean to hijack this thread. ...as you were....

urban.spaceman Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Been following since 1994 Schmeichel Kaamark Walsh © Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Lennon Cambiasso Guppy Claridge Vardy The bench would have to be: Kallac (purely for his impact at Wembley, Neville Foulger's commentary at West Brom: "he has his head in his hands... I hope he doesn't drop it"; and the Fox Fanzine's spoof advert Kallac Flu Tablets... Guaranteed you won't catch a thing all winter") Izzet Savage Kante Elliott Taggart Heskey Notable squad inclusions because this is complete hypothetical: Ian Marshall Drinkwater Flowers Cottee Zagorakis Every player from the current squad I haven't mentioned yet Paul Gascoine
murphy Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Since 1978. City 0 WBA 1 since you ask. Cyrille bloody Regis. Anyway, Wallington Kaamark Fuchs Elliott Taggart Lennon Cambiasso Lynex Lineker Smith Mahrez Subs Izzett Kante Heskey Collymore Coatsworth
Vacamion Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 All you people putting Vardy in, he's good, I like him and I hope he scores a sack load more, but you can't have him in the side in preference to Lineker and Smith. Not yet, anyway.

Donut Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Keller Kamaark Walsh Elliott Guppy Mahrez Cambiasso Izzet Parker Heskey Vardy Picking a midfield is almost impossible Shout out to Mike Whitlow. First player i loved as a kid.
bovril Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 From my time watching them (95-present) Flowers Elliott Huth Kaamark Guppy Lennon Izzet Parker Mahrez Vardy Heskey 3 subs: Cambi Cottee Sinclair re. Akinbiyi. Awful player but far from the worst we've ever had. At championship level he was about equal to Fryatt.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 I've seen since Mon years but can't really remember it all that well to be honest, so most my memories start from last year or so at Filbo Walker Sinclair Elliott Morgan Berner Mahrez Izzet Cambiasso Dyer Vardy Dickov Notable absentees who I could easily put in when I change my mind! Kasper, Huth, Ferdinand, King, Kante, Drinky, Nalis, Deane
Fox92 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Only saw the back end of the O'Neill era. Went to games then but I've been a season ticket holder since 2002... Walker Sinclair Morgan Elliott Fuchs Kante Izzet Cambiasso Mahrez Dickov Vardy
FLAN Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Always wondered what the team announcer looks like. Anyone got a name?
jonthefox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 All you people putting Vardy in, he's good, I like him and I hope he scores a sack load more, but you can't have him in the side in preference to Lineker and Smith. Not yet, anyway. Based on what you've seen innit?.

Think I had Morgan and Walsh instead of Huth and Kaamark, that's it! Never really had an amazing keeper. Oh I think I had Guppy instead of Kante too with Mahrez right and Izzet centre. But leaving Kante out is hard to do already!!!

ithuriel Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Started watching City during the early nineties so this is a 4-4-2, had to leave out a lot of quality players but this is a decent enough first eleven . Keller . Kamark Elliott Taggart Fuuchs . Mahrez Lennon Izzet Guppy . Vardy Heskey
Izzy Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Wallington Mauclen Walsh Elliott Kaamark Tommy Wright Gary Mac Muzzy Lynex Heskey Lineker Subs: Lennon, Taggart, Vardy, Mahrez, Keller
