jonthefox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Targets in the toilets and urinals. Maybe then when the grandads take their grandkids for a piss in the family stand, the place won't be swimming.
jonthefox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Also. Can we start going back outside for a smoke at half time?.
yorkie1999 Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Reckon some hand sanitiser in the bogs wouldn't go amiss. I mean, do people really think washing hands is optional? Number of people who p!ss and go is really embarrassing esp the old uns. Agree with most sensible points re concourse - photos of historic moments, plaques for record goal scorers and bio info/facts. Most old uns have learnt not to piss on their hands, it's a trick you may also learn.
Foxes_Trust Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 A few things, having also been at the meeting last night All catering comments - please now use the newly created separate topic (but note the guidelines outlined) Queues for catering - our concourse is not wide enough to create a centralised barrier system (health & safety issue), stadiums that have this have concourses about 3 times wider. Will leave Leicester Lass to respond further, but to compile the answers is not an easy task. so please keep posts focused on the topic. This is good initiative by the club to get the concourses looking as the fans would like, so please help the small group of fans pulling fans thoughts together on your behalf.

Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Liverpool new stand is going to have street food stalls (brilliant idea... **** having a "catering partner" serving dog meat) Football fans all get pooled into one bunch.. I've mentioned it before. Why should we have to settle for the crap beer and food at the ground when the majority of us like going to nice pubs/bars and restaurants. charging food stall vendors a pitch fee will be just as lucrative to the club as a "catering partner" and it means they can constantly change, bringing variety etc. Good on Liverpool is what I say, hardly surprising though the city is thriving and full of the ideas the club seems to have embraced! Great idea, I would imagine this has something to do with the fact the Liverpool owners own a baseball team too, every baseball stadium I have visited does this, it makes you want to eat at the game.
ozleicester Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Alternatively, they could hand out piss cups, so that you can look after yourself during a match. Just make sure you sit, standing could result in a disaster. From what im reading... Im pretty sure this is what they do now at the bar. move this comment to the catering topic
EGBFitness Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Seen the plans of Liverpools stand. Really impressive! Would be nice to see that down at the KP I guess. Always nice to have a drink and chill out in the concourse before a game so having a proper lounge feel would be a real good atmosphere before a game.
davieG Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Re the East Stand floor I thought it looked better just as concrete, well much lighter and welcoming before they put the new dark flooring down, it also seemed more spacious.
Tommy G Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 At the F1 they do this: Chaps with rucksacks full of beer, think I've seen fosters in the past, and they dispense into plastic pint cups, they could be mobile in the concourse area, and with todays day and age use contactless payment system for just beer. Would cut down the Queues
wattolcfc Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 A few timeline murals, examples include: Vardys record breaking streak The great escape 2014/15 Timeline of all trophy wins A piece of Gordon Banks winning the World Cup Leicester players who played or went on to play for England Leicesters war heroes The O'Neill era The Pearson era Leicester Mercury back/front pages from big events in the clubs history, including when we almost signed Cruyff OTHER IDEAS: Small LED boards running at high level all the way around the concourse that is similar to the Sky Sports Breaking News ticker which could have useful information on such as line ups, LCFC Twitter posts, newspaper articles and quotes about LCFC. An Argos/McDonalds food ordering system which would provide speedier service. Express beer only queue, staff to use those special cups that fill 4/6 pints up at once from the bottom which takes approx 5 seconds to pour 4/6 pints. LED Blue and White written lighting with quotes/song words
pleatout Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Targets in the toilets and urinals. Maybe then when the grandads take their grandkids for a piss in the family stand, the place won't be swimming. On a serious point, how about you put the urinals in the family stand at a height that small kids can reach. It's not rocket science. I suggested this to the club about 10 years ago, when my kids were little, and met Pete Jones & the stadium manager down at the ground about it and of course nowt happened. Also food, kids don't eat jumbo hot dogs, pies etc. They eat parsons nose nuggets and fries. The family stand is that in name only. Move the wheelie bins at the entrances to the toilets? They are just in the way. I won't draw it, but have a look and see if you can see a better place to put them. It's blindingly obvious.
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Just a note about people saying move the to screens, can you keep them where they are as I can pee and watch the game at the same time if I take a certain position at the urinals. Could get messy if we ever score while I'm in there however.
promised land Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 But mainly we need wifi in the whole stadium And also a wifi signal that will still be with us even when we get home from the game. And a half and half scarf stallWe are lesta No we don't need wifi in the stadium, if you want to go online, do it elsewhere. If you're in the stadium you should be supporting the team, not looking at your latest Facebook posts.
Jimmy Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 the biggest problem with the concourses is space then NEED to be made bigger, but that won't happen without expansion

If you're in the stadium you should be supporting the team, not looking at your latest Facebook posts. To be fair, while I don't agree with WIFI in the stadium, it does annoy me the my signal suddenly drops out and I can't check the latest scores, I'm too impatient to wait until half time and full time! Especially if I have a bet on

Especially if I have a bet on A lot of other prem clubs have score flashes on their video scoreboards, reckon that's better than wifi. (I know it doesn't help for other leagues)

Terrible design, the roof is truly awful, sightlines will be pretty poor for the top tier, the slanted roof is especially bad, add to that they had to cut into the kop roof leaving some seats now uncovered. Amazing the money and time spent and that's the best they can come up with. And 3 grand for match day hospitality....3 grand for the above....

Amazing the money and time spent and that's the best they can come up with. And 3 grand for match day hospitality....3 grand for the above.... Ok the concourse looks really over the top. But big slanted roofs are exactly what you want in a football stadium, it improves acoustics and are exactly why old grounds are so much better than new ones. The stand does look impressive - large and imposing; and the roof fits in with the rest of the ground. People in the top tier will surely be looking down onto the pitch so I don't think sight lines will be too affected. If you want to see at shit roof look at ours or the Emirates or any of the roofs on new grounds in England. Anyway this is well off topic so I'll leave it at that.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 I know the title is "re-design" but Free and easy access WIFI for fans would be useful. The Nou Camp has it in all zones of the stadium so why can't we. I'm not one to surf the tinternet during matches but pre match and half times would be useful as the 4G coverage is poor when under the roof of the stadium Thanks for asking though, look forward to the results. Please no.I thought we'd got rid of fans checking the CL scores on a Tuesday night when we got promoted. Next season they'll be checking the CL scores as it'll have a direct impact on ourselves
