davieG Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Bogs with in and out entrances don't work very well when I've seen them as plenty of fans just ignore the signs.
AKCJ Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Bogs with in and out entrances don't work very well when I've seen them as plenty of fans just ignore the signs. Absolute chaos at full time Newcastle away. Everyone comes in one way because of clear signs but then leave out of the same entrance because they just assume you leave the way you come in.
MrSpaM Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 I can't think for the life of me why the toilets are designed like a maze where you have to push through people pissing to get to a free lavatory. The one's at the back are rarely used because of this, you get a massive crush at the door and everybody just presumes the toilets right at the back are in use when they rarely are. They should just make them open plan, big room with urinals all around the edge.
Larry_LCFC Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 They use heat lamps in the West Stand, or did anyway. Do they use them to toast their sandwiches?
Bayfox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Do they use them to toast their sandwiches? No. Marshmallows.
StanSP Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 ffs the two areas desperate for improvement are the club shop and catering but this goes ignored. give the fans a bullship sandwich and ask if they pictures in the concourse, meh. focus on the real areas which need improvement. well aren't you a massive ****. The club has no choice over the display of stoppage time on the scoreboard so is totally out of their control. Also, what the hell is 'bullship' .
Vlad the Fox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 People spend too long peeing in the toilets, especially when I'm busting. What they should do is have a conveyor belt that people have to queue on for the urinals, when they get there they unzip and take a leak, if they get to the end and they haven't finished they should zip up and wait to come round again to finish their business.

Alternatively, they could hand out piss cups, so that you can look after yourself during a match. Just make sure you sit, standing could result in a disaster.
RGFox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Reckon some hand sanitiser in the bogs wouldn't go amiss. I mean, do people really think washing hands is optional? Number of people who p!ss and go is really embarrassing esp the old uns. Agree with most sensible points re concourse - photos of historic moments, plaques for record goal scorers and bio info/facts.
davieG Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Perhaps everyone missed the part where the OP said "Note, this does not include any work on the kiosk areas". Perhaps the thread title is a bit misleading then maybe something along the lines of... How can we tart up the concourses?

If you'd seen as many fans as i have over the years using the sinks as a urinal you'd think twice about washing your hands.
Deucalion Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 At MK Dons, wasn't there a seating area in the away end? Space could be an issue in the South Stand, and it needs to remain a fairly empty area to allow the ground to empty, but could there be some stools alongside the extra shelving to you could comfortably have a pie and a pint?

So, if if I've got this correct, the conveyer belt goes left to right meaning your piss will be traveling at an angle with a good chance of resulting splash back soaking the shoes of the guy to your left? Depending on conveyer belt speed, you could be onto something here
AjcW Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Liverpool new stand is going to have street food stalls (brilliant idea... **** having a "catering partner" serving dog meat) Football fans all get pooled into one bunch.. I've mentioned it before. Why should we have to settle for the crap beer and food at the ground when the majority of us like going to nice pubs/bars and restaurants. charging food stall vendors a pitch fee will be just as lucrative to the club as a "catering partner" and it means they can constantly change, bringing variety etc. Good on Liverpool is what I say, hardly surprising though the city is thriving and full of the ideas the club seems to have embraced!
DangerFox Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 They have them at Swansea! Metal rails aren't outlawed if they have them there? Metal rails or any sort of roping system for queues are not allowed on concourses for health and safety issues in case of need for emergency evacuation What is allowed tho but I don't think would be much use is putting tape on the floor to designate areas Don't know how good the idea is but could there be some sort of token system to be able to collect beers at half time from a designated area Hand token over instantly get beer in exchange having no money exchanges must speed things up As for the TVs not sure how it could be solved but the location of them in the west means that if a crowd are around it you struggle to move once you get though the turnstiles Pictures would be brilliant anything to brighten up the insides will do for me, again don't how good the idea is but could we have player themed areas around the kiosks

Pity their new stand is so poorly designed with bad sight lines and making some parts of the kop uncovered.
