Jon the Hat Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Such links are going to happen when we are doing so well. Probably the only job we would lose him to to be honest.
LanguedocFox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Why would he leave Leicestery City? Especially for another national-team job.
johnny the fox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 he has stated he wants to end his career here..I take him at his word.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 He said that he'd drop Mahrez if he starts looking at other clubs, not exactly the words of a guy who's putting feelers out himself...
MrSpaM Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Claudio has stated numerous times he'd like to finish his career at Leicester, unless we sack him he isn't going anywhere
Oxfordfox83 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Why would he leave Leicestery City? Especially for another national-team job. I don't know why I enjoy 'Leicestery' City so much, but there's something brilliant about saying it "Thanks Mr Abramovich, I appreciate the offer, but I'd like to play for someone a bit more...Leicestery...."
Tuna Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Why even post this topic? The article says between Mancini and Ranieri. Its just speculation, a non story. Posting it as 'Claudio to replace Conte' presents it as fact.
filbertstreet Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 thank fook, thought you spelled kante wrong this ain't happening
Gerard Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If recent press is to be believed about Ranieri being a workaholic then club football is better than a national job. Hopefully Ranieri has ambitions to make us a club that challenges for CL spots.

Posting it as 'Claudio to replace Conte' presents it as fact. Pretty sure that's the whole point of the forum isn't it? To spark discussion about all things Leicester. PS - thanks OP, I hadn't picked up on this. Personally think he'd stay with us over this even if offered.
Sionnach gorm Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Not to be a killjoy here but he did say once that he'd love to finish his career managing for Italy (though after Leicester city if I recall...but that has happened! )
Leicesterpool Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Would he really be offered another international job, considering what happened with Greece.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Unlikely and hope to God he doesn't but wouldn't begrudge him if he wanted it. Managing your home nation into a World Cup on the edge of retirement? You could see why he would be tempted.
LCCFox96 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Having just successfully returned to the PL, a division he has done well with in the past at Chelsea, I can't see him wanting to leave anytime soon, particularly with a return to Europe beckoning.
fuchsntf Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 We are a suprise top of the PL, true or false the Int. media will write what they write. What ever happens , happens.Claudio has made his statements over the season, club rather quiet. My own opinion, I'll wait until EOS.Its the now that interests me nothing more, that said no problem with thread being opened, thats what forums are about.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Just saying Claudio was to leave I don't think we'd have problems attracting big names in the summer.
yag101 Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 Since the Greece debacle I'm pretty sure Ranieri has stated clearly that he won't take another national team job. End of thread.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 that would be a dream job to end your career on, I'm confident he'll stay though.
kyleolly Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 If we win the league let him go and manage his national team because it will be near on impossible to do aswell next season!
dylanlegend Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 No Chance - Next year he will lead us into the Champions League - Possibly the best sporting underdog story of ALL TIME!! Why would anyone leave the journey too early - people around the world will be talking about us for years. Why turn your back on that? I dont think Italy would want him anyway - not after Greece
Webbo Posted 29 February 2016 Posted 29 February 2016 I thought this as soon as Conte was linked with the Chelsea job. Wouldn't surprise me and I wouldn't begrudge him the chance to manage his country either. I hope he stays though.

I dont think Italy would want him anyway - not after Greece This. I said the same regarding Vardy and Mahrez. The journey doesn't end when we win the league - we carry the fairytale into the Champions League.
