Leicester's amazing title run is being watched by the whole world, but Claudio Ranieri wants his team to remain calm.

Leicester City have signed highly rated youngster Faiq Jefri Bolkiah from Chelsea.

Faiq, who is the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, has been with Chelsea since 2014 after spells with Arsenal and Reading.

The 17-year-old signed a two-year scholarship upon his arrival at Chelsea and he has decided to move to the King Power Stadium with his deal expiring at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Bolkiah wrote on Instagram: "Happy to announce I have signed a long term professional contract at @@lcfc.

"Would like to thank all my family and close friends for all the support. Was also a pleasure meeting the owner himself. Can't wait to get started."

The skilful winger has been a regular in Chelsea's under-18 side for the last couple of seasons and he has represented Brunei at U19 and U23 level.

A source had told ESPN FC earlier on Tuesday that Leicester scouts had been watching Faiq for some time and that they had offered him a three-year professional deal, with a view to him pushing for a place in the first team.

The cynic in me is asking whether this might be more of a business signing? Boosting our profile in the region?

Hopefully it's not an Al-Saadi Gaddafi-type situation at Perugia way back when... His dad "donating" to the club to keep him on their books.

Brunei's population is barely bigger than Leicester's, what would be the point?

Yeah mate, seen him play a couple of times, took the Mrs out for a long weekend in Bandar Seri Begawan and caught an under 16s game while we were out there. Decent feet, could be the next Mahrez if he's puts his mind to it but I've heard rumours of an attitude problem.

I'm fairly sure the family has, or had, a property interest in Leicestershire. Might be mistaken though and it's a while since it was mentioned, so I won't say more.
