Sionnach gorm Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 According to the Gazzetta, Ranieri has been talking to Francesco Totti about a possible move to Leicester for next years CL games. Many believe that with the CL and the Prem the need for more experienced players may increase. Totti has that experience, and with the fact that he's considering leaving AS Roma at the end of this year (and unlikely to play for any other Italian team) Leicester may be a possibility. http://talksport.com/football/leicester-transfer-report-claudio-ranieri-holds-talks-roma-legend-francesco-totti-over
FireFox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 I trust Ranieri and the others to make the right decision.
The Doctor Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 - I love Totti but can anyone seriously see him fitting in to thid side?
Izzy Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 So many new threads I'm struggling to keep up! Can't this be merged with the ongoing transfer talk thread?
stevelcfc Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 He'd be a fantastic character to have in the dressing room and on the training ground, but he wouldn't get much game time. So player/coach role?
Ozwin Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 As if he's going to ruin his one team legacy by coming to us for a season. No chance.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 I would say possibly as a player coach, his experience as a champions league player is invaluable, but should someone like drinky be dropped for him? I'd say no
Sir Shep Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 As if he's going to ruin his one team legacy by coming to us for a season. No chance. To be fair, Stevie G did.
Foxxed Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 And, as we lift the Champions League trophy, Filbert Fox steps out of his costume, only the reveal Francesco Totti. Fade out, run closing credits.
Rincewind Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Not sure. City's success is built on a desire players giving 90 per cent every game not just when a transfer window is due and looking for a bigger pay packet. If he wants to play for the team and does not mind being sub on occasions then fine.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 We need that experience, if he is coming to help and be part of the team spirit then yes please
Webbo Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Depends what the plan is. If he's just coming as a playing then probably no, if it's a player coach role then maybe.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 To be fair, Stevie G did. Situations aren't comparable, Steve G not at retirement age totti, I think it's safe to say, is more than there. Plus he's not the kind of player who fits in this side even in his prime never mind now he's 40 odd
coolcol Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 No..no..no. Fantastic player in his time but he will add nothing to the team, he is a 'has-been' ... albeit a brilliant has-been.
Chester Dontlie Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 If he can play cards... he could entertain Inler
Benguin Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Nah we're massive, we should be signing Pogba, Messi and Neymar
Fox92 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Totti wouldn't get in our side. We should be looking at Suarez.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Totti wouldn't get in our side. We should be looking at Suarez. Guess he would make the bench
