Fox in the North Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Nothing wrong with the Spurs lads being in there; they've had a cracking season ,BUT drinky and Vardy equally deserve to start. Would rather those two don't play on Tuesday either now so they are fully rested.
Bryn Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Hope they don't start in midwee either then, **** the Spurs players getting a rest.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Should be renamed England Hotspur.ThisThe massive Woy Tottenham wankfest continues
trabuch Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Hope he plays all the spurts players next week too.
Walkerfox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 It is getting quite funny now to just see how bad Woy is as a manager. Clear favouritism, clear lack of tactical know-how and clear lack of ambition. Hopefully it'll all be over when we put in another bland performance at the Euros and crash out in the group stages. I used to really like following England but now i just couldn't care less. It's not even the lack of Leicester players, It's the lack of players that are performing well rather than players performing averagely for 'top 6' clubs.
Guest bss9401 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 10 minute cameos for both players in one of the games will do me. They will feel part of the set up and gain confidence. Let's get this league won and then complain about them not starting.
EnderbyFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Jordan Henderson is painfully average, amazes me that Liverpool fans still think he'll be the next Gerrard.

TJB-fox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 All players who pretty much deserve to be in there, with Rose getting in the XI because of injuries pretty much. Why do we have to sound so bitter and lower ourselves to Spurs' level? Basically this, some bizarre opinions regarding the Spurs boys. All four of them deserve to start imo, with Rose helped by injuries and Dier slightly helped by our lack of midfield options. Although I say a lack, DD should defo be starting over Henderson!I would do this in the Euros: Hart Clyne Smalling Cahill Baines/Bertrand Dier Drinkwater Ali Barkley Kane Vardy (4-1-2-1-2) With the fullbacks pushing up to give us the width, almost like Spurs do. We've seen how effective Baines and Clyne have been in those wide areas and with Dier covering defensively it's not a huge issue. Clyne especially was a great outlet when we've played Liverpool this season. My opinion anyway. Who would other people start?
Aus Fox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 No issues with the spurs players selected, don't really get the hate. All 4 would be in my starting team at the Euros. The two Liverpool players on the other hand, not sure what they are doing inany England squad. Good to see Butland get a start against quality opposition. Would just love to see England play 4-4-2, Vardy and Kane forwards. Drinkwater/Dier with Ali in the centre and Amy two of the quick wingers we have, play how we play and we will do more damage, than this one up front crap.
lgfualol Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Jordan Henderson is painfully average, amazes me that Liverpool fans still think he'll be the next Gerrard. The liverpool fans I've seen say he's been shit this season. He'll always play though so he can kick the ball sidrways and into touch trying to be like Gerrard.
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Jordan Henderson is painfully average, amazes me that Liverpool fans still think he'll be the next Gerrard. they don't anymore and klopp wants rid. shame as he was really good for 18 months under rodgers when they near won the league. what a woeful 11 that is. lallana, henderson, welbeck etc. all not playing where they'd ideally choose to play. cba. what's the point.
Koke Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 I'd play a 4-3-1-2 GK Clyne Smalling Cahill Roae Drinkwater Dier Alli Barkley Kane Vardy There not much width but the midfield is hard working and can pass the ball. Alli can support the attack when needed a help the midfield when needed. Barkley just behind the two most inform English strikers. Get rid of the stupid 4-2-3-1 and find a formation that suits the players we have.
Donut Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 To be honest, are we juding the team as Leicester fans? I dont see too many surprises in it, Hodgson has always favoured Welbeck and he repays him so hes a natural pick down the left, Henderson and Dier would compliment each other well in the middle of the pitch, only surprise for me is the inclusion of Lallana.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 You really have to question the 3 Liverpool players being included in the starting XI. FFS we may as well start planning for the next major tournament off the back of another Hodgson failure. Pretty sure he'll play Wilshire too as soon as he is available.

eye666 Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Painfully average starting XI. Not going to be surprised at a 3-0 loss. Only upside to that XI is seeing Butland in an England jersey. Defence looks unbelievably weak. Hope for a real physical game with lots of crunching tackles EDIT: P.S. Lallana must be the new Milner.
EnglishOxide Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 I'd rather he was on the bench than out wide Agreed. Hopefully he and Kane will get equal time over these two games to lead the line. They are clearly England's two best strikers, so just alternate them as necessary. Henderson obviously shouldn't be playing ahead of Drinky, but hopefully he will replace him. Not sure about Lallana, but I'd like Albrighton to have been called up and have the chance to show what he can do there without being shackled by too much defensive responsibility.
Jaspa Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 They'll have the lads lined up on Tuesday then, I dont mind figuring out your options and rotating the international squad as we have done in the past for friendlies but has that actually worked before? Get your best team out, playing together at every opportunity

The fact that absolute shambles in Brazil wasn't a catalyst for change really has proven how utterly doomed we are for the long-run. No ambition. No balls. Embarrassing.

Leicesterpool Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 It's funny how two players who have been outstanding for there club who are currently top of the league, yet still can't get a starting place for there national team!?
Koke Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 It's funny how two players who have been outstanding for there club who are currently top of the league, yet still can't get a starting place for there national team!? You'd think we'd find a formation that suits Spurs and Leicester players as they've been most successful, but no, we're England and we persist with one formation and squeeze players in and play them out of position and leave on fire players on the bench.
